April is Fraud Prevention Month—and we want to help raise awareness and protect older Ohioans from scams and financial exploitation.

Ohio is home to more than 2.8 million older adults, and unfortunately, scammers are becoming more sophisticated. They use emails, phone calls, texts, and even social media to steal personal information or money.

🔍 Common scams to watch for:
• "Phishing" emails, texts, or calls asking for banking or personal information
• “Too good to be true” investment opportunities claiming guaranteed returns
• Imposters posing as family or friends requesting urgent financial help

⚠️ Important Alert:
Recently, scammers have been calling Ohioans pretending to represent the Golden Buckeye program to collect sensitive information like Social Security numbers. These calls are NOT from the Ohio Department of Aging.

🛡️ How to protect yourself and others:
• Never share personal or financial information with unknown callers
• Verify requests before sending money
• Report suspicious activity immediately

📢 Report scams:
• Federal Trade Commission: reportfraud.ftc.gov
• Ohio Attorney General: inquiries.ohioattorneygeneral.gov
• If you believe you’ve been scammed, contact your local law enforcement right away

🍀 The Irish Experience 🍀

What a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day celebration we had with our wonderful residents this week! 💚 Our “Irish Experience” was filled with laughter, music, delicious treats, and plenty of festive cheer.

From lively decorations to joyful moments shared together, it was truly a day to remember.
