🦋 A Beautiful Lesson in Growth and Care at Lorain Occupational and Vocational Center 🦋
Over the past several weeks, our staff member Sarrah Pierce worked hand‑in‑hand with our Adult Program participants on a truly special project—raising butterflies from caterpillars. Together, they thoughtfully cared for them each day, providing food, water, and a safe, nurturing habitat.

The excitement and joy were unmistakable as everyone watched the butterflies emerge and take their very first flights. Some butterflies lingered a little longer, gently resting on participants’ hands before fluttering away, turning a beautiful moment into an unforgettable one.

This experience was not only fun, but also a meaningful opportunity for learning, patience, and connection with nature. Moments like these highlight the power of hands‑on activities and the incredible impact they have on growth, confidence, and shared joy.

💙 Giving Back Through Creativity 💙

Our Adult Program participants from the Oberlin Opportunity and Vocational Center (OOVC) had the opportunity to volunteer at Safe Harbor, where we helped create beautiful artwork for their Paper Quilt project. Each piece was made with care, creativity, and compassion—coming together to form something truly meaningful.
It was a wonderful reminder that even small acts of kindness and creativity can help share powerful stories of hope, support, and community. We’re grateful to Safe Harbor for allowing us to be part of such an inspiring project! 🖌️🧩✨

📚✨ A Perfect Day at the Library! ✨📚

A group from our Lorain Opportunity and Vocational Center (LOVC) had such a wonderful visit to the Amherst Library, filled with curiosity, smiles, and the joy of discovery. From browsing the shelves and finding interesting books to exploring new spaces and making crafts together, it was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful community experiences can be.

The library isn’t just a place for books—it’s a place for learning, connection, and growth. We’re so grateful for the welcoming environment and the opportunity to spend time doing something that inspires imagination and a love of learning. 💙

🍀💃 Dancing Our Way into St. Patrick's Day!🕺🍀

On Friday evening, Murray Ridge School was full of smiles, music, and plenty of green as students and adults celebrated at the St. Patrick’s Day Dance! The dance floor was buzzing with energy as friends came together to enjoy great music, laughter, and festive fun. From dancing the night away to celebrating with classmates, it was a wonderful evening filled with joy, friendship, and community spirit.

🍀 What a sham-rockin’ good time! 🍀

LOVC’s St. Patrick’s Day Dance was filled with laughter, smiles, and lots of festive fun! Staff went all out with cheerful decorations, and nearly everyone showed up dressed in their best green.

With great music and even better dance moves, everyone danced the afternoon away and made memories to last long after the music stopped. 💚✨

This St. Patrick’s Day, we’re celebrating someone truly special—Jesse, Murray Ridge Center’s very own leprechaun! With his signature smile and generous spirit, Jesse spent the day spreading joy while collecting donations for the Friendship APL, all to help animals in need.

Jesse reminds us that the real magic of this day isn’t just green hats or shamrocks—it’s kindness, compassion, and looking out for those who can’t speak for themselves. Every donation collected is a small act of love that will make a big difference for animals waiting for care, comfort, and forever homes.

Adult Program participants from our Lorain Opportunity and Vocational Center (LOVC) enjoyed a truly special evening at Shrek the Musical at Midview High School! From the colorful costumes and creative sets to the unforgettable fire‑breathing dragon, the performance brought laughter, excitement, and plenty of smiles.
