It has been a difficult week here at Charter Funerals as we mourn the loss of our friend and colleague, Henry Freeman. Those who knew Henry will remember his kind spirit and easy smile... Henry never went anywhere without making a friend! This week, we will honor his legacy of kindness, generosity, and service. All are encouraged to come and pay their respects and share memories of his remarkable life.

We hope to be as good of a friend as Henry was to all we encounter.

Henry D. Freeman, of Bushong, entered into rest Friday, February 24, 2023, at Newman Regional Health. He was 44. Henry was born December 26, 1978, in Emporia, KS to Dan and Christy Zeller Freeman. Henry graduated from Emporia High School and Flint Hills Technical College in 1998. He received a

In light of recent events, Charter is making a few changes that we wanted you to be aware of. First and foremost, we want you to know that your health, and that of your family, and of the families we serve, is our top priority. It is now clear that COVID-19 will present unique challenges to our office, our communities, and our families for the foreseeable future.

Effective immediately, our offices will be closed to the general public, but rest assured, we are still here for you all day, every day. Our phones are answered 24 hours per day, seven days a week, and we will be working to fill all non-essential requests over the phone and email in a timely manner.

Thank you to all who came out and donated at our blood drive on July 1st. We collected 31 pints of blood giving us the potential to save 93 lives. We appreciate your time and sacrifice!
