✨ This holiday season, we're hanging up a few things — and we're not talking about ornaments. ✨

We're choosing to let go of the habits that weigh heavier than any decoration we could put on a tree:

🎄 Hanging up comparing ourselves to others — because everyone’s journey has its own rhythm, and each one deserves to be celebrated, not measured.

🎄 Hanging up self-criticism — that inner voice doesn’t get to narrate our season anymore. Kindness starts with how we speak to ourselves.

🎄 Hanging up avoiding feelings — it’s okay to pause, feel, reflect, and honor what’s really going on beneath the holiday rush.

🎄 Hanging up people-pleasing — we're allowed to choose what feels right for ourselves, even if it doesn’t make everyone else comfortable.

🎄 Hanging up the fear of setting boundaries — saying “no” can be one of the most loving things we do for ourselves and the people we care about.

This year, we're creating space for rest, authenticity, and gentleness.
If you’re hanging up a few things too, we're right there with you. ❤️

Our Story

CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness provides prevention and support tools, educational resources, counseling and treatment options, and class offerings that can help you begin to manage the circumstances of daily life. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or a loved one, we are committed to helping improve mental wellness and together we can make our communities stronger. Founded in 1960, CrossWinds Counseling & Wellness is licensed by the State of Kansas to operate as a Community Mental Health Center. Our service locations have expanded across Kansas in seven counties to include Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Lyon, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee.

We employ a variety of providers including psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists and professional counselors to ensure that we can offer you the most effective, caring, innovative and efficient support for your mental wellness. Those in need of our assistance range from children to the elderly and who may suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional or social challenges, substance abuse or those in need of a place to share openly and freely. It’s time to embrace mental health and wellness as a whole health approach. It’s time to start the conversation.

We often discredit feelings of sadness, nervousness or loneliness as just having a bad day, but when 1 in 5 people struggle with depression, anxiety, or their mental well being, it’s time to start the conversation. Mental health issues can affect anyone at any age, regardless of their background. It may be someone you know, a friend or a relative, a colleague or your neighbor down the street, through education and advocacy you can help break the silence of those suffering from mental health issues.
