It's that time of year again!
We are preparing for Adopt a Senior here at Emporia Presbyterian Manor. If you are someone who enjoys giving back and are seeking opportunities to do so this holiday season, consider donating a special gift to one of our seniors. We have approximately 60 seniors participating this year, and they will be opening their gifts on Christmas Day! ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ„โœ๏ธ
In the years I've coordinated this project, it has brought tears to my eyes to witness the impact it has on our residents. Some memorable quotes include: 'Are you sure this is for me? This is so nice! Who would have done this?' and 'I couldn't have imagined someone who doesn't know me could pick out something so special and meaningful.' We've even had donors give custom pieces in remembrance of late spouses.
Seeing the smiles and warmth in the residents' hearts makes this project one of my favorites!
If you're interested in participating, please contact me by December 5th. We kindly request that gifts be wrapped and dropped off by December 12th to allow for any last-minute shopping. Thank you in advance for making this a special year for the residents at Presbyterian Manor.
