Important update for women going through menopause

The FDA has officially removed the black-box warning from many hormone therapies used to treat menopause symptoms.

As someone who treats women every day — and is walking through this season myself — this change matters.

For years, women have been scared away from hormone therapy because of outdated warnings rooted in early, flawed research. Too many suffered in silence with:

🔥 Hot flashes
🧠 Brain fog
💤 Sleep struggles
💛 Mood changes
🏋️‍♀️ Fatigue & weight changes
❤️ Low libido

Now, updated evidence supports what so many of us already knew:
When used appropriately and monitored, hormone therapy can be safe, effective, and life-changing.

Women deserve accurate information.
Women deserve treatment options.
Women deserve to feel whole again — not dismissed.

Here’s to empowering women with updated science, compassionate care, and better options.

Over the last year my breast cancer journey has taught me so many things

(1) Do your mammograms! It may be the only way you know there is an issue.
(2) Regular exercise, healthy low inflammatory foods, and reducing your stress matter in the long run for your health and for breast cancer risk reduction.
(3) Your tribe matters. Appreciate your people (you know who you are) and thank them for showing up!

Life is fragile. Live it well.

Interesting read on how health care we see today came to be. A reminder of why I stepped away from corporate medicine 6 years ago. It’s not perfect doing private practice but we work hard to keep cost lower and the focus on patient care.
