If you’re over 50 and dealing with stiff, achy, or painful joints — knees, hips, back, hands — you’ve probably heard this before:

“Welcome to aging.”
“Just don’t do as much.”
“Eventually you’ll need injections or surgery.”

Here’s what most women are never told:

👉 Arthritis doesn’t mean you stop moving.
👉 It means you need the right kind of movement.

The problem is that most exercise programs — even many Pilates or fitness classes — are not designed for arthritic joints. They either push too hard… or avoid movement altogether.

That’s why we’re hosting a live, in-person workshop for women over 50 who want real solutions for arthritis — not quick fixes or gimmicks.

🧠 In this workshop next Wednesday February 18th at 2:00 pm, you’ll learn:

• Why certain exercises actually make arthritis worse
• How therapeutic Pilates supports joints instead of stressing them
• What movements reduce stiffness and pain (and which to stop doing)
• How women your age are staying active without injections or surgery

This is not a workout class.
No floor work required.
No pressure.
No sales tricks.

Just clear education and safe movement strategies taught by professionals who specialize in women’s joints after 50.
Tag yourself below if you want a special invite!
Only 8 spots are remaining. 🙏

How do they compare for women over 40?
HOT YOGA🧘‍♀️

What it’s best for:

⭐️Creates a strong relaxation + sweat response
⭐️Muscles feel looser due to heat
⭐️Can feel mentally cleansing or cathartic
⭐️Appeals to people who like intensity and structure

LIMITATIONS:
🤔Heat can mask joint instability
🤔Flexibility gains may be temporary
🤔Higher risk of overstretching (especially hips, hamstrings, low back)
🤔Can increase pelvic floor symptoms (leaks, heaviness)
🤔Can spike cortisol for some nervous systems
PILATES 🔥

What it’s best for:

✅Builds deep core and pelvic floor coordination
✅Strengthens joints through controlled range
✅Improves posture, balance, and alignment
✅Scales well as bodies change (perimenopause, menopause, post-injury)
✅Transfers directly to daily life and other workouts

LIMITATIONS:

😁Doesn’t feel as dramatic at first
😁Less “sweaty” → people underestimate its impact (wait until you see how you feel walking out of the session!)🤩
😁Requires good instruction to be effective

Best for: Long-term strength, Pelvic floor health, Back, hip, and joint protection ➕Sustainable movement as hormones change
Which do you choose?
❤️❤️❤️

Hip pain is so common for women over 40—and it’s rarely “just aging.”

What’s really happening is a perfect storm:
• Hormonal shifts that affect joint stability and tissue resilience
• Years of compensating through the low back or pelvic floor
• Glutes and deep hip muscles losing connection (not strength)
• A core system that’s been bracing instead of supporting

So the hip ends up doing more work than it was designed for.

And here’s the part most women aren’t told:
👉 Stretching alone won’t fix it
👉 Rest doesn’t solve the root issue
👉 And pushing through often makes it worse

The solution starts with how your core, pelvis, and hips work together—not isolated exercises.

When the system is restored, the hip can finally relax… and pain has a chance to fade.

Your body is asking for a different approach & that’s exactly what we do in our therapeutic Pilates sessions. 💛

If tightening your pelvic floor fixed the problem…
you’d be better by now.🤔

Most women don’t have a weak pelvic floor.
They have an overworked one.

Clenched. Guarded. Always “on.”

And a muscle that never relaxes?
❌ Leaks more
❌ Hurts more
❌ Functions worse

Your pelvic floor isn’t meant to be squeezed all day.
It’s meant to respond — lift and let go.

Release is not giving up.
Release is what makes real strength possible.

That’s why endless Kegels fail.
And why learning to let go is often the first step to:
✔ fewer leaks
✔ less pressure
✔ less pain
✔ better core control

You don’t need more tightening.
You need better control. Try these magic breathing exercises daily.

And that starts with permission to relax. 🔥

If you’re “doing core work” but still noticing pressure, heaviness, or leaks…
👉 it’s probably how you’re using your core — not that you’re weak.

Your core is more than abs.
It’s a pressure system that includes your breath, deep abdominal muscles, diaphragm, and pelvic floor.

When you:
• brace hard
• hold your breath
• “suck in”
• bear down to stabilize

you can actually increase downward pressure, making prolapse or bladder leaks worse.

Instead, think:
✨ Exhale first like bllowing out a candle
✨ Gentle lift + wrap, not grip
✨ Ribs soften, belly responds
✨ Support before you move

Strong doesn’t mean tense.
Safe core work should feel supported, calm, and controlled — not strained.

This is exactly what we teach women over 40 who’ve been told:
“Just do Kegels” or “avoid everything.”

You’re not broken.
You just need a smarter strategy. 💛

Save this. Share it.
And if you want to learn how to build real strength without fear, follow along.
