Our very own Nexus resident John was the best Santa ever🎅We enjoyed a festive afternoon with holiday carols, beautiful desserts, hot cocoa and Christmas cocktails. Holiday lights make the season bright, and what better way to see them than with friends! Thursday night our sister community from Escondido joined us for Lightscape at the San Diego Botanical Gardens, and it was quite an adventure🎄Everyone certainly got their steps in, taking in the beautiful sights and enjoying hot cocoa!

Our Nexus ladies outing was to Sugar Sweet Farm-an amazing gem in Encinitas-to learn about llamas, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, small critters, cats, a pot-belly pig, mini horses & donkeys! We found the goats especially amusing to interact with😊And have you ever hugged a chicken? We did! Plus, there was a sweet newborn llama with his momma to adore (keep scrolling for that cute pic!) A wonderful Saturday morning full of surprises and cuddly interaction💕 Afterwards, we enjoyed Sugar Sweets' holiday market & treats, bringing back local honey and goat's milk lotions to share with our friends

At Silverado Encinitas, we have so many things to be thankful for: our amazing residents with wonderful families who joined us for Thanksgiving Brunch, our Culinary team who prepared it with love, plus ALL of our dedicated Associates and volunteers who made the day special! After sharing a delicious feast and enjoying jazz tunes on saxophone, we finished the afternoon with family game time❤️ With gratitude, we look forward to celebrating more holiday events together in December!
