Shadows;
Recently I have been embarking on deep exploration of the part of self which is called "The Shadow".
Shadows are the parts of self that we perhaps don't want to admit or accept about ourself or have been so unaccepted by ourselves, society and our woundings that God forbid we even go here.....
But the truth is, by going here, we may feel a little uncomfortable, however by facing and ACCEPTING ALL PARTS OF SELF, THIS IS WHERE THE SHIFTS HAPPEN!
When we feel triggered by another's behavior and we just cannot believe that someone would display or act in such a manner- this is the perfect time to go inwards and ask yourself "are there any parts of myself where I have behaved in this way before?"
If the answer is yes and it starts to play with heart strings or physical feelings , many amazing gifts may occur here just by simply admitting that this is actually your shadow.
This may be a daunting project at first, I can absolutely admit that it was very hard for me at first to see these parts of myself, so it is important to first of all, offer yourself some compassion and love and then send it to the person who triggered you.
Why chose to dig up such things? By facing and being brave enough to admit these parts of self that you may have been suppressing for so long you are gaining much self awareness, self acceptance, compassion forgiveness and the list goes on..... Staying in the space of truth with oneself can bring so much light and so many gifts to the world.
As soon as you resonate on the energy that every person is just your mirror (teacher) it takes so much of the wounded / victim aspect out of living and we begin to practice becoming one with all that is- even the darkness.
Next time someone does something annoying, go within and talk to your shadow, become friends with it and build this partnership with yourself. If it feels uncomfortable, great, it's working.
Give yourself some love and remember that you are deserving and worth knowing all parts of yourself ππΌ
