We spent Saturday morning of this snowy weekend in New Castle by dialing up our “Core Confidence”

Workshop #2 of our Movement Longevity Lab Series❄️💪

Together, we explored the main causes of low back strain and stress—and learned practical techniques to manage and prevent it.

We covered:
* The muscles that make up the core
* How to find a neutral posture and stack ribcage over pelvis in all positions
* How to use 360° breath to create an efficient intra-abdominal pressure system
* How to lift with biomechanics that reduce strain on the spine

I deeply value sharing my expertise in a way that truly impacts how active people access movement health and freedom. This is what movement longevity is all about—building a body that lets you do what you love for as long as you want… and feel good while doing it.

Today we wrapped up a four part workshop series called “Everyday Alignment: Learning to Move Well Through Life” in Bexley

We explored foot anatomy and everything foot health, balance and stability.

I explained how important our feet are because they are our first point of contact to the ground, influencing the forces we receive on the joints above. We want our feet to be both flexible and sturdy to carry us through life.

I also touched on the fact that in life, and in movement, we need a stable base or foundation from which we can be dynamic and free.

In this beautiful autumn season: walk with compassion for the earth beneath us, walk with intention, walk with connection to this amazing body that carries us through life ❤️ 👣 🌎

🌟 Success Story Spotlight! 🌟

This morning I was reflecting on factors that help create patient success and what came up when they are coachable.

I’ll share one of my recent success stories: a 55-year-old powerhouse who runs her own business and stays active with weightlifting, Pilates, and yoga. When she came in with low back pain from lifting heavy, she was not just looking for relief but also aiming for great posture as she ages. What made our journey successful? Her openness, curiosity, and willingness to learn 💡 She was actively engaged the whole process and always taking notes of what she can do better on. Learning to breath while lifting was one of her biggest takeaways 💨

This just goes to show that being coachable and engaged can make all the difference in overcoming injuries. Remember, it’s not just about the tools we use, but the mindset we bring!

I recently had the opportunity to not only present on Movement & Longevity, but to also experience the amazing community on beautiful New Castle Island, New Hampshire! 🌊 🌲

I love connecting with motivated individuals and communities. Together, we reflected on what movement goals are most meaningful as we age, explored the science of aging, and learned how to bridge the gap to maintain strength, endurance, and resilience. ⚡️💪. This group of 50-90 year olds values skiing, golfing, cycling, kayaking and being able to play with their grandchildren for years to come!

As you can see they already have yoga and strength and conditioning classes built into their weekly routines. Everyone comes together to make exercise social and fun! 🙌 love it

It was also special to spend time with family and friends, be back in New England where I got my first job as a PT, and join in and even lead one of the classes 😁
