One of the most common questions families ask is: When is it time to consider in-home support?

Here are a few signs it may be helpful for yourself or a loved one:

🛑 Daily tasks are becoming more difficult (cooking, bathing, dressing)
🧠 Increased forgetfulness or missed medications/appointments
🧹 The home isn’t as safe or tidy as it used to be
💬 Feelings of isolation or loneliness
💤 Family caregivers feeling overwhelmed or burned out

💡 Whether you need a few hours of support a week or more consistent care, our team is here to help with compassion and dignity at the center of everything we do.

Love in caregiving doesn’t always look like flowers or cards. 💚

Often, it looks like patience, consistency, and showing up every day — even on the hard days.

For families caring for a loved one, that kind of love takes heart, compassion, and strength. During Heart Month, it’s a reminder that caring for others also means being gentle with yourself.

If you ever have questions or need support along the way, feel free to message us — we’re always happy to help. 💚

Sundowning can be one of the hardest parts of dementia care — especially when evenings suddenly become more confusing, restless, or emotional. 💚

While the exact cause isn’t fully understood, it can be worsened by fatigue, low lighting, hunger, overstimulation, or changes in routine.

Here are a few things that may help:
✅ Keep a consistent routine
☀️ Encourage daylight exposure earlier in the day
☕ Limit caffeine/sugar later in the afternoon
🔇 Reduce evening noise, TV, and overstimulation
💡 Keep lighting soft but adequate (shadows can be triggering)
🥪 Offer a light snack + water before evening sets in

If you’re dealing with this at home and have questions, feel free to message us — we’re always happy to share ideas or resources (no pressure). 💚
