Every Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) session follows a very specific order.

⚕️ We begin by opening the neck—also known as the terminus, located in the supraclavicular fossae—where lymph fluid ultimately returns to the venous system. This step is essential before directing lymph from anywhere else in the body.

⚕️ From there, we move to the abdomen. This phase of MLD focuses on stimulating the body’s central lymphatic structures, including the cisterna chyli and the lower portion of the thoracic duct, which play a key role in overall lymph transport.

✨ The first part of abdominal work uses precise, rhythmic manual techniques to directly stimulate this deep lymphatic reservoir. The second phase emphasizes diaphragmatic breathing, which further supports lymph movement through changes in intra-abdominal and thoracic pressure.

☝️ Research shows that addressing the abdominal lymphatic pathways significantly increases overall lymphatic uptake compared to working the periphery alone.

There is a very specific technique and sequence to true Vodder-style MLD.

A sanctuary for beauty and renewal. 💐

When deciding on a name for my studio, I knew I wanted something that carried meaning beyond aesthetics.

My family’s roots in Elysian Heights, Los Angeles span generations, dating back to the 1940s. I grew up adjacent to Elysian Park — a place deeply woven into my history.

“Elysian” comes from Elysium (the Elysian Fields) in ancient Greek mythology — a paradise-like state associated with beauty, peace, and renewal. That meaning resonated with me because it reflects the intention behind this space.

“Rose” holds immense personal significance, honoring my grandmother — the guiding force in my life. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering support are foundational to everything Elysian Rose represents.

Elysian Rose reflects a results-focused philosophy where aesthetic precision meets skilled therapeutic work, grounded in expertise, intention, and care.
