🚦 Yellow Lights in Therapy: Time to Question the Fit 🚦
Not everything that feels “off” in therapy is a deal-breaker but it is worth talking about.
🔸 Frequent distractions?
🔸 Chronic lateness?
These behaviors can impact trust and safety in the therapeutic space.

💬 Try talking it out first.
Most therapists would see these issues as therapeutically meaningful and want to discuss them.
Say something like:
🗣 "I feel disrespected when you're late to sessions—do you think we can start on time?"
🗣 "I find it distracting to sit and watch you eat. Would you be okay eating before or after our sessions?"
The therapist’s response will tell you everything you need to know.

You deserve to feel respected and fully present in your sessions.
