Behavior Therapy Clinic Applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), we’ve developed individualized treatment programs for the home, school, and community settings.

In 1997 Wayne Tashjian established Behavior Therapy Clinic (BTC) as a private agency that serves children of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Pervasive Developmental Disabilities. BTC holds a Nonpublic Agency Certification from the California Department of Education as well as a vendor contract with the California Regional Centers. BTC has worked collaboratively with both public schools, including the Los Angeles Unified School District and Culver City Unified School District, and numerous private and parochial schools. BTC provides direct services for children and their families in the Los Angeles area (San Fernando Valley and the Westside). We are also available for consultation outside of the Los Angeles area.

Did you know:

The Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles (DSALA) receives no funding from the state or federal government and is 100% donor-funded. Programs and events of the DSALA are free or low-cost to children and adults with Down syndrome and their siblings. Each year, the DSALA must raise $250,000 to provide these vital services and core support. The Buddy Walk is one of the largest fundraising events and is responsible for raising 40% of the funds needed to operate each year. Seven percent of the money raised through the Buddy Walk supports the National Down Syndrome Society who works to ensure members of the Down syndrome community have a voice at the national level. The remaining funds that are raised support our local efforts and cover the cost of the event.

Join us on Saturday, October 9th at the beautiful Los Angeles State Historic Park in our efforts to advocate for the value, acceptance, and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.

Clinical Supervisors: Required: BCBA, as well as 1 year supervision experience of ABA programs as well as minimum 2 years in the ABA field
