I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT # 126327) with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge and Master's degree in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles. I enjoy working with children, individuals, couples and families with a wide range of presenting challenges including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, coping skills, relationship issues, parenting and life transition experiences such as immigration and divorce. I conduct multi-cultural counseling and therapy in English and Farsi, experienced with diverse populations including school-aged children, couples, families, adults and older adults. I am certified in CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Interpersonal therapy and Seeking Safety therapy. I empathize on theories such as Cognitive Behavioral, Interpersonal and Family Systems as well as using Expressive and Play therapy to coach and provide insight to my multicultural clients. I have a strong appreciation of the therapeutic relationship and values while working collaboratively with clients in a non-judgmental, respectful and supportive environment. I believe in the intuitive insight of each individual, and their capability to walk the healing journey of both physical and mental health as a whole person. I coach and assists each person with unconditional positive regards, empathy and respect in this exceptional healing journey.
