Dr. Nojan Toomari completed his advanced training from UC Irvine in Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal & Bariatric Surgery. There, he perfected his techniques for Advanced Laparoscopy, Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery, and Minimally Invasive General Surgery, Foregut and Gastrointestinal Surgery, as part of the comprehensive gastrointestinal surgery team. Dr. Toomari performs all general surgery operations, primary bariatric operations including laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, lap-band, and laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery, as well as revision weight loss surgery. He has experience managing complications from across Southern California and Northern Mexico. Dr. Nojan Toomari completed a demanding General Surgery Residency at a very busy and prestigious Southern California hospital, where he performed over 2000 operations. During his residency, he received numerous awards and recognitions, served as Administrative Chief Resident, and was selected the Surgical Resident of the Year, for and unprecedented two consecutive years.
