Ronald Ivor Renaldo born on July 27, 1936, to the late Ivor Halgar Renaldo and Faith Wheeler died on December 22, 2025, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Jennifer Zizzi, his son-in-law, Mark Zizzi and his stepson, Kevin Ennis.

Growing up in Jamestown, NY, Ron made his earliest money at age 14 as a stock clerk at his great-uncle’s grocery store, then as a store technician-clerk for an auto parts retailer, and later, still in his teens, as an ice making equipment operator followed by work in the grape fields with migrant workers for Welch’s Grape Juice. For two summer seasons, he supported the newly built Southwestern Central High School with various trucking activities. While attending college he worked as a technician with General Electric as a precursor to a 34-year development engineering career with IBM.

He graduated from Celeron High School in 1954 where he was president of the last known nation-wide high school fraternity, Chi Sigma Chi, Delta Sigma Chapter originally founded in 1891. During this period, he augmented his high school education with technical adult education classes at Jamestown High School, the only way for him to acquire the knowledge he needed for his chosen career. He then graduated from SUNY Alfred and attended Binghamton University.

In his mid-years, Ron enjoyed tennis, basketball, bowling, and swimming but then settled on his final passion for motorcycle touring.

Above all, Ron treasured his 30 years with his beloved wife, Carol Ann Bontempo Renaldo for a life of shared interests and goals. He held dear all memories of their travels and of leisurely times at their second home in Vero Beach, Florida where they enjoyed the company of their special friends, Alberto and Rose Rossi. He is also survived by his children, Kevin (Deborah) Renaldo, Elaine Zizzi, and Eric Renaldo (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Emily Zizzi and Austin Renaldo; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Savannah Reed; his step-son, Kirk (Becky) Ennis and their children, Brittany (Travis) Miller and Adam; his step-son, Steve Rogers (Camille Ciotoli) and his children, Stephen and Kari (Jake) Longo; his step-daughter, Dina (Scott) Barney and their children, Jake (Kasaundra) Barney, Nick (Natalie) Barney, and Luke Barney.

Gary Fiala 63, of Johnson City, New York, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2025 at his home. He was a graduate of Union Endicott High School, Class of 1980 and grew up in the West Corners area of Endicott. Gary was a carpenter by trade and was a maintenance worker at the Riviera Ridge Apartments in Vestal. Gary was not a drummer, but he definitely marched to the beat of his own drum. He lived life his own way and would always say, “if you don’t like it, don’t look”. Gary was a generous person and would do anything for anybody. He often asked his brother to “look around and if you come across a small basketball hoop for a driveway, or see a used one online, grab it for me because the kids in the neighborhood are shooting at this beat up one and I want to get something better for them”. He was passionate about cooking, and was pretty much in his driveway chair with a beer in his hand and something on the grill over an applewood fire daily during the summer. Gary enjoyed watching NASCAR and his Michigan Wolverines and New York Giants football.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth (Betty Belock) Fiala, and Joseph (Joe) Fiala. He is survived by his son Jake (Jessica Burcham) of Virginia, and daughter Madalyn and wife Jennifer of Binghamton, his brother Bob (Sue) Fiala of Endicott, niece Lindsey (Nick Lagabed) Fiala, nephew Joe (Becca) Fiala, nephew Anthony (Dakota Katcher) Fiala, several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Also his lifelong best buds Nick Lobello and Tony Direnzo.
At Gary’s request there will be no services. The family will hold a private gathering at their convenience.

Marie (Gianuzzi) Augustine, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2025. Marie is survived by her sons Len Augustine and his wife Pam, Gary Caruso and his wife Jill, Keith Augustine and his wife Amy, her daughter Susan Baer and her husband Everett Youngberg, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, who will remember her laughter, her kindness, and the unwavering love she showed every one of them.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, she grew up with a warm spirit and an enthusiasm for life. She attended GAR High School, graduating in 1955. She was known for her friendly smile and easy laugh, traits she carried with her for the rest of her life.

Marie’s life was blessed with family. After welcoming two children in her first marriage, her life took a beautiful turn when she met the love of her life, Len Augustine. Together, they built a family filled with joy, respect, and tenderness, adding two more children to their home. Marie and Len were adorable together, deeply in love, and inseparable.

They often worked together, played cards with friends, and shared a passion for basketball, cheering through every season side by side. First came years rooting for Michael Jordan, then LeBron James, following him from team to team. For the last eight seasons, Marie proudly called herself a Lakers fan, keeping the tradition she and Len began years earlier.

When Len passed away in 2015, Marie demonstrated remarkable strength, courage, and resilience. Despite the profound loss, she chose to begin a new chapter in her life, moving to New York. There she found needed support from her son Len, his wife Pam, and his family. Their kindness made a fulfilling life possible for Marie. In her new apartment, she built new friendships, spent time with family, and continued to find reasons to smile. She enjoyed visiting the senior center where she loved playing bingo, and she was incredible at Scrabble. But it was just being with friends that she treasured most. No matter where she lived or what she faced, Marie brought warmth into every room.

Marie leaves behind a legacy of affection, loyalty, and joy. Her light hasn’t faded. It lives on in the hearts of those fortunate to have known her.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Victor J. Lorenz on January 11, 2024, and her grandson, Nicholas Drapp. She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses: Karen & Lew Walker of Summerville, SC; Debra and Steve Dykun of Orange, CT; and Vicki and Steve Drapp of Lancaster, OH. Beverly was born and raised in the Endicott area and graduated from Union-Endicott High School class of 1954. After high school, Bev began her career with IBM, and later worked in the offices of Endicott Johnson Shoes, where she remained until her retirement. During this time, she was introduced to her future husband, Vic. They were married on April 25th, 1959. Bev was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and an endlessly supportive presence in her daughters’ lives. Bev was the kind of mother who was always there – typing last-minute school papers, volunteering for every activity, and chauffeuring on countless occasions. She was a Brownie troop leader, room mom, and an enthusiastic supporter of her daughters’ sports, especially the West Corners Softball League. Holidays were not complete without Bev’s homemade treats, particularly her apricot kolache, nutrolls, and her cherished Scandinavian specialties.

Bev was a talented seamstress and knitter and created clothing for her daughters when they were young. Bev later became known for her beautifully crafted Afghans. She devoted time each week to sewing and knitting groups and consistently contributed handmade items to St. Joseph’s annual church bazaars. Bev was also a familiar face in her community. Many remember her from the Pizza Frite tent at the St. Joseph Bazaar or volunteering at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open at Enjoie Golf Course. Her greatest weekly joy was bowling night with her sister and cousin, Betty.

Bev embraced her role as grandmother with warmth and pride and spent a lot of time with her grandchildren. She was later overjoyed to welcome four great grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Bev’s life was rich with family, traditions, faith, and the simple pleasures of caring for the people she loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, her unshakable devotion to her family, her talent with a sewing needle and knitting needles, her delicious baked goods, and the countless ways she quietly made life brighter for everyone around her.
