I have been experimenting with making balms, butters, and lotions since my tallow obsession started a few years ago, searching for a great moisturizer specifically for dry cracked hands and feet. I had a cognition of a formula today and decided to make it, on the fly. I tried it. It is my best formula so far. It can also be used as a body butter. I will try it out for the next few days to see if it will work as i hope it will, and come back with a report.

Update: it smells very nice. Last night before bed I put this on my aging face, very dry hands, and very dry scaly cracked feet. It felt great! It went on silky smooth, and absorbed pretty quickly. When I got up this morning my face and hands felt velvety soft and my feet were much softer and less rough and scaly. I put some more on a couple of hours later (face, hands, & feet again). I feel so confident, that I finally have found the formula that works the way I need it to work, that I made a double batch today to give to my test market. (They love testing my new products).

My newest product line, Meals-In-A-Jar. I am starting with 5 Soup Meals-In-A-Jar. Approximately 8 servings per jar, for only $1.25 per serving. Great for busy parents, single college students, working people, or the retired generation. Just add to boiling water and simmer for the appropriate times listed on the jar label. Thanks to a friend I am making “Meals-in-a Jar. It started out as a mini prepper project for myself and my family, in light of the last blizzard that had me snowed in for a while last week. A friend suggested I should sell them. I thought about it and decided there are many people in this, busy crazy world, that would have an interest in having to only open a jar, add water, heat and voila you have a hearty meal. No fuss, no mess. Once I come up with recipes, of course, I have to try them myself for goodness. Tonight I concocted a Hearty Vegetable Soup. It is yummy. Now to make labels and i’m all set to start another one tomorrow.

Making a new batch of elderberry syrup to stay healthy until spring. Ahhhh! My house smells so good! Brought to boil, simmered for 45 minutes, mashed it up with potato masher, now just steam evaporating water off it.
