Residents at The Village at Endwell gathered in Dealmans Pub for a wonderful Happy Hour filled with great company and live music by Peter Mundt.

From toe-tapping tunes to shared laughter, it was an afternoon full of community, connection, and fun. There’s nothing better than good friends, good music, and a lively atmosphere right here at home.

🇺🇸 Presidents’ Day Fun at The Village! 🇺🇸

Our residents, David and Eileen Patch brought history to life today, stepping in as President Lincoln and Mrs. Lincoln for a festive Presidents’ Day celebration! 🎩🎹

They even treated us to a piano performance while delighting everyone with their Lincoln impersonations.

📍 Advocacy Day at the New York State Capitol

On February 3rd, members of the Good Shepherd Communities leadership team were in Albany advocating for not-for-profit providers of long-term care across New York State.

Representing Good Shepherd were Jason Santiago (CEO), Mary Wassel (COO), Ariel Smith (Executive Director of Fairview Home), Patti Hitchcock (Executive Director of Chase Memorial), and Peter Lennon (Member of the Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Communities).

Throughout the day, our team engaged in meaningful conversations with state leaders about the issues that matter most to the people we serve — including adequate funding, fair reimbursement, capital funding needs, and key assisted living priorities.

Advocacy is a core part of our mission. Showing up, speaking out, and ensuring the voices of not-for-profit providers, residents, and staff are heard is how we help strengthen and sustain long-term care in our communities.

Our first Rock Steady Boxing class was AMAZING! It was so inspiring to see our residents showing up, working hard, and fighting back against Parkinson’s disease. They are proof that strength comes in many forms.

The Southern Tier Recorder Ensemble joined us at The Village at Endwell to perform for our residents, creating a relaxing and uplifting afternoon. We’re so grateful for their time, talent, and the joy they brought to our community.
