Because your toes are tucked away in socks and shoes, it is easy to dismiss a little discoloration or a weird ache as just part of getting older. But not for us at PodiatryCare, PC, and the Heel Pain Center! Our toes are the furthest point from our heart and are packed with tiny blood vessels and nerves, which makes them the first place many systemic health issues show up. https://tinyurl.com/5n7bd2n3

February is American Heart Month, so ask yourself:
Is that ache you've been having a charley horse...or a blood clot (DVT)?
CRAMP: Sudden, tight knot. Relieved by stretching.
CLOT: Deep ache, warm skin, redness. Stretching doesn't help.
If it’s warm and red, go to the ER. And if you've got heart health questions that relate to footcare, please be sure to call us:

These little bony protrusions can be a real nuisance, but understanding why they show up and how they act is the first step toward getting your stride back. Let’s explore what heel spurs are and how they form. https://tinyurl.com/5n73wj6p
