Enfield EMS is proud to work alongside Chief Provencher. Congratulations on the milestone!

Today marks a milestone that few ever reach — our very own Chief Earl Provencher celebrating his 50th anniversary with the North Thompsonville Fire Department!

Five decades of dedicated, selfless service. Fifty years of answering the call, leading with integrity, and standing committed to both this department and the community. That kind of longevity doesn’t just happen — it reflects character, resilience, and a deep love for the fire service.

Chief Provencher has truly made a difference. He has touched countless lives, mentored generations of firefighters, and helped shape the culture and strength of this department. His leadership has left a lasting mark that will continue to be felt for years to come.

Chief, thank you for everything you’ve done — and everything you continue to do. Congratulations on an incredible 50 years of service!

When you see flashing lights and hear a siren, every second matters. 🚨

If an emergency vehicle is approaching with lights and sirens activated, you are required to safely move to the right side of the roadway and come to a complete stop until it has passed. This allows police, fire, and EMS personnel to respond quickly to emergencies where lives may be at risk.

Here’s what to do:
🔹 Stay calm and check your surroundings
🔹 Use your signal and safely move to the right
🔹 Come to a complete stop
🔹 Do not block intersections
🔹 Do not follow closely behind the emergency vehicle

Failing to yield to an emergency vehicle is not only dangerous, it’s against the law. Drivers who do not move over can be issued an infraction, which may result in fines. More importantly, not yielding can delay critical emergency response and put others in danger.

Help us keep everyone safe
