I believe that love is at the foundation of all healing. It’s the quiet strength that supports the body’s natural ability to restore, renew, and thrive.

ā¤ļø Heart Health: Saving Lives vs. Preventing Disease

We’ve made real progress in heart care. Fewer people are dying during acute heart attacks thanks to faster emergency response and better medical care.

That’s a win. šŸ™Œ

But here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:
āž”ļø The number of heart attacks hasn’t dropped nearly as much
āž”ļø Cardiovascular disease is still the #1 cause of death in the U.S.

In other words, we’ve become very good at rescuing people during a crisis — but we’re not doing nearly as well at preventing the crisis in the first place.

Heart health isn’t just about arteries or cholesterol. There is no heart health without body health.

The heart reflects:
• blood sugar balance
• inflammation
• nervous system tone
• nutrient status
• lifestyle choices made over years

Yes — fewer people are dying during heart attacks thanks to better emergency care.
That’s progress.

Snowed in for days = permission to slow down. ā„ļø

During our recent ice/snow stretch I brought back an old favorite: castor oil packs. They’re simple, cozy, and (fair warning) a little messy—so I used a towel, a barrier layer, and a heating pad and let myself rest for an hour.

If you want the easiest setup, look for the Heritage castor oil pack kits—they take the guesswork out of it. I’ve even seen Heritage products at Natural Grocers in Little Rock or you can find other options online. I recommend using organic castor oil.

Sometimes I grab hold of a problem and chew on it… and chew on it… and overthink it a thousand different ways. I try to solve it by force. And the more I grip it, the more tension I feel.

Eventually, I reach the point of surrender. I relax. I let go.

And that’s when the reward comes—immediately.
My body softens.
My mind calms.
My stress level drops.

At that moment, I’ve already won.

And here’s the interesting part: once I relax and let go, the solution often appears. Things resolve. Clarity comes. What felt stuck begins to move again.

So today, ask yourself:
šŸ’­ What do I need to let go of?

Then affirm gently and honestly:
🌿 ā€œWhen I relax and let go, I win.ā€
