With hundreds of oak, palm and pine trees, Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood is considered one of the more beautiful cemeteries in Southwest Florida. A cemetery of choice for residents of South Sarasota and Charlotte counties for more than 50 years, it comprises 20½ acres, including undeveloped acreage that will serve the communities of Englewood, Venice, North Port and Port Charlotte for years to come.
Traditional and Mausoleum Burial Options
Gulf Pines Memorial Park offers a range of burial options among sweeping green lawns. Whether you choose in-ground interment, above-ground entombment or inurnment for yourself or a loved one, we have an option that honors your family preference or religious tradition. Ground-burial at Gulf Pines Memorial Park includes individual plots and customizable private family estates. Both the community mausoleum and the chapel mausoleum offer above-ground cremation niches and crypt spaces. We can also work with you to design a private mausoleum to reflect your family’s unique heritage.
Westminster Cremation Garden
Cremation is an increasingly common choice, and the cremation garden at Gulf Pines Memorial Park is replete with winding pathways flanked with trees and flowers. Engraved cremation benches, community and private columbaria, granite boulders that house cremated remains and a community ossuary are all options here. Whimsical bronze butterfly memorials are among the many ways to remember a loved one; they can be placed on a boulder or on a stem as if in flight.
Veterans Gardens and Vietnam Memorial
Our area of Florida is home to a large population of U.S. military veterans. We are grateful for their service and honored when they choose Gulf Pines Memorial Park. The cemetery includes three lovely gardens dedicated to veterans and their family members. One includes a striking black granite monument in memory of those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Each Memorial Day the cemetery hosts a special service that draws a couple hundred people to pay their heartfelt respects. The cemetery also offers special pricing to veterans and their family.
Companion Meadow
Gulf Pines Memorial Park wants to be a peaceful final resting place for your whole family, including your cherished companion animals. Companion Meadow is a special cremation garden for both pets and pet owners. You may memorialize your furred or feathered creature among its tall pines after cremation—and then opt to have your cremated remains placed with your pet’s. Options include columbarium niches, cremation benches and a variety of monuments.
Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Crematory offers cremation services for all sizes of dogs, cats, birds and other small animals. You may take your pet to one of the funeral homes or have the funeral home pick up at your home or veterinarian’s office. Cremains are not co-mingled, so you receive back only your pet’s cremated remains.
