Let’s get this straight —
I’m eating bizcochitos.
I’m eating tamales.
Yes, I’m drinking alcohol.

But after 15 years in advanced esthetics, I also know how skin biology works — and I’m not about to let December undo my face.

Here’s how I enjoy the holidays and still keep my skin in check, plus things you can actually do at home or on the go:

✨ Balance, not restriction

I anchor meals with protein and hydrate like it’s my job.

At home / on the go:
• Add electrolytes to water (especially in dry Denver air)
• Eat protein before sugar to blunt inflammation

✨ Alcohol recovery is key

Alcohol dehydrates skin, flares redness, and slows cellular repair.

At home / on the go:
• One glass = one full glass of water
• Gua sha or facial massage before bed (2–3 minutes is enough)
• Sleep on a clean pillowcase — yes, it matters

✨ Sleep is non-negotiable skincare

Cortisol accelerates aging faster than almost anything topical.

At home / on the go:
• Aim for earlier nights when you can
• Magnesium or breathwork before bed
• No harsh actives on nights you’re exhausted — barrier first

✨ Consistency beats chaos

The holidays are NOT the time to:
• Over-exfoliate
• Try 5 new products
• Skip professional treatments

At home / on the go:
• Gentle cleanse
• Hydrating serum
• Moisturizer + SPF (yes, even winter)

That’s it. Simple works.
