Our centers have been busy celebrating Valentine’s Day with crafts, games, treats, and LOTS of smiles. Every day at Empowered is about building friendships, creating memories, and celebrating each other and Valentine’s Day gave us even more reasons to do just that.

🧡🍂 Friendsgiving at Empowered! 🍂🧡

Last week our centers came together for the sweetest Friendsgiving celebration, and it was such a joy! Staff and individuals shared food, laughs, and so many moments that remind us why community matters.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day special from preparing food to decorating to simply showing up with a grateful heart.

Our Fairfield Center had an amazing time celebrating Halloween in style! We made so many great memories with friends and family while enjoying the spookiest day of the year. Thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun — we can’t wait to do it again next year! 🕸️🧡

This November, Montgomery County voters have an important choice. Voting FOR Issue 1 will protect essential health and human services — without raising taxes.

Issue 1 is a renewal levy that provides $58 million each year to support more than 100,000 residents — including children and adults with developmental disabilities, seniors, people facing homelessness, and those battling addiction or mental illness.

The Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities and other agencies depend on these funds. In recent years, they’ve already made deep cuts — reducing staff, freezing salaries, scaling back early intervention and youth programs, and discontinuing mental health and recreation services.

Further cuts will directly impact families and individuals who rely on these programs every day.

By voting FOR Issue 1, you’re helping preserve vital services, protect dedicated staff, and maintain fiscal responsibility — with no tax increase.

Let’s come together to support our neighbors and keep Montgomery County strong.
Vote FOR Issue 1 this November.

Our Lorain location spent the day enjoying some haunted house fun! 👻 We soaked up the sunshine, joined in on spooky activities, and celebrated the season with our community. 🎃

Our Eastgate location, along with our friends from the Southwest territories, hosted an unforgettable live wrestling match for our Empowered individuals! 💪🤼‍♂️ With nine incredible athletes, amazing support from Spot Tickets and Elite Athletics, and plenty of food, fun, and laughter, the day was nothing short of spectacular. We couldn’t be happier with how it all came together!
