Dr. Monica Tadros is a distinguished Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon and Educator. She has offices located on Park Avenue in Manhattan and Bergen County, New Jersey. She is one of a small number of surgeons to attain dual board certification in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and has combined the two specialties in her unique practice of aesthetic medicine. She was appointed the Director of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Asst. Professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the prestigious Columbia University in 2006, where she taught many generations of residents and medical students, the art and science of Form and Function and the healing power of compassion. I love when patients bring inspo photos for rhinoplasty— they’re a great starting point! But I always make sure we set realistic expectations for their end result.

No two noses (or faces) are the same, so your result won’t look exactly like someone else’s. What we can do is create the most beautifully balanced, natural-looking version that fits you perfectly.

If you’re dealing with cervical dystonia, which is a condition that causes painful neck muscle spasms and abnormal head positioning, Botox may be a really helpful option. 💉

During treatment, I place small injections directly into the overactive neck muscles to gently weaken them and ease the spasms.

Most people start noticing relief within a couple of weeks, and the results typically last 4–6 months!

For this patient, we focused on smoothing the bridge and refining the overall shape without taking away the structure that suited his face.

Many patients are surprised by how manageable rhinoplasty recovery actually is. Most swelling and bruising fade within the first week, and many people feel comfortable getting back to their normal routines after about 7–10 days.

Swelling will continue to improve over the next few months as the nose refines and settles into its final shape!

For male patients, the goal of a rhinoplasty is typically to refine the nose while maintaining strong, masculine features. In this case, we smoothed the dorsal hump and refined the bridge to create balance without softening his overall appearance!
