Enid Urology cares about you, your health and financial wellbeing and hopes to serve all of your urology needs. Enid Urology is in-network with traditional Medicare, BCBS, Aetna, HealthCare Highways, Preferred Community Care, HealthChoice and Medicaid (with referral).

☀️ Summer Kidney Care Tips from Your Urology Team! ☀️

Summer is here, and while you’re enjoying the sunshine, don’t forget to take care of your kidneys! Here are some essential tips to keep your kidneys healthy during the hotter months:

•Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you’re active or spending time outdoors. Proper hydration helps your kidneys flush out toxins and reduces the risk of kidney stones.
• Limit Sugary & Salty Drinks: Avoid excessive consumption of sodas, sports drinks, and beverages high in sugar or salt. These can strain your kidneys.
• Protect Yourself from Heat: Try to stay cool, wear light clothing, and avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, which can lead to dehydration.
• Eat Kidney-Friendly Foods: Enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, and limit processed foods that are high in sodium.
• Listen to Your Body: If you notice changes in your urine, swelling, or persistent fatigue, consult your healthcare provider.
Your kidneys work hard for you; give them the care they deserve this summer!
