🌱 Mindset Monday: Surface Goals vs. Soul-Level Desires

You say you want more energy. More income. More consistency. But those are surface-level goals. And surface goals rarely create lasting change.

Because underneath every “I want…” there’s a deeper reason driving it.

A desire to feel:
safe
seen
valued
free
at peace

The truth is… it’s not just about what you want to have. It’s about how you want to feel in your life. And until you connect with that deeper layer, it’s easy to lose momentum or feel like something is missing even when you’re “doing everything right.”

So today, sit with this: What do I really want… beneath what I say I want?

Today carries an invitation:
to pause…
to reflect…
and to release.

Good Friday reminds us that before renewal… there is surrender.

Before something new can rise, something old must be laid down.

Not with force.
Not with shame.

But with willingness.

So today, instead of asking: “What do I need to do?”

Try asking: What am I ready to let go of?

A pattern…
A pressure…
An expectation…
An outdated version of you…

Because making space is part of becoming.

And sometimes the most powerful thing you can do… is release.

Who you are being is everything. You're worth wellness and being your best, and I'm honored to serve you on that journey.

There’s a version of you trying really hard to do all the “right” things.

Checking the boxes.
Showing up when you can.
Holding it all together.

And yet… Something still feels off.

Because underneath all that effort, you’re still operating from an identity rooted in:
👉 proving
👉 pleasing
👉 pushing
👉 surviving

And no amount of doing can override that.

So here’s a different question to sit with today: What is it costing you to stay the same?

Not just in results, but in your energy, your peace, your presence.

Transformation doesn’t begin with doing more. It begins with being honest about what’s no longer aligned.

On a day all about jokes and pranks… let’s gently look at something deeper:

Where might you be fooling yourself?

“I just need more time.”
“I’ll start when things calm down.”
“I know what to do… I’m just not doing it.”

These aren’t failures. They’re patterns. And often, they’re protective. Because staying in the doing loop feels safer than becoming someone new.

But here’s the truth your body already knows: You can’t create aligned results from a misaligned state of being.

Your nervous system feels the hesitation.
Your energy reflects the inconsistency.
Your body keeps the score.

So today, instead of judging yourself, try this: Get curious.

Where am I telling myself a story… instead of telling myself the truth?

Real talk… You’re not stuck because you don’t know what to do.

You’re stuck because of who you’re being while you’re trying to do it.

You say you want consistency… but you’re being someone who negotiates with yourself daily.

You say you want peace… but you’re being someone who constantly overthinks and overrides your body.

You say you want growth… but you’re being someone who waits to feel ready.

That gap?
That’s the work.

Not more effort.
Not more information.

Alignment.

Because you cannot create a different life while staying committed to the same version of yourself.

So I’ll ask you: Where are you out of alignment with what you say you want?

The work is hard. It's much easier with support, guidance, encouragement, and accountability. And you're worth wellness.

Most people are living life backwards. We’re taught:

When I have the results… then I’ll do the things… and finally I’ll feel like the person I want to be.

But it doesn’t work that way. Real, lasting change happens in this order:

Be → Do → Have

Who you are being will always shape what you do, and what you do will always determine what you have.

So the real question isn’t: “What do I need to do differently?”

It’s: Who would I need to become to naturally create what I say I want?

Because when your identity shifts, your actions follow without force.
