This recognition designates INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital as a “Spotlight Hospital,” highlighting our commitment to high-quality, compassionate care through initiatives such as breastfeeding and baby-friendly practices, safe sleep standards and continued efforts to support families during one of life’s most important moments.

We’re proud to recognize Marshall Ward as our December Caregiver Spotlight! Marshall has been a valued member of the INTEGRIS Health family for 15 years, bringing dedication, skill and heart to everything he does.

Marshall chose a career in health care after seeing the opportunity to grow his experience while working alongside great teammates — including his wife, Sandee, who also works at INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital. He credits much of his inspiration to Russell Wilson’s leadership and creativity, noting he’s learned countless lessons along the way (including always turning off a breaker before working on it! 🤭).

What Marshall enjoys most about coming to work each day is the variety — never knowing what the day’s challenge will bring or who he’ll interact with, whether it’s patients, families or fellow caregivers. He loves the diversity of work orders and the wide range of skills his role allows him to use.

One professional success Marshall is especially proud of is making patients more comfortable through the small things — adjusting a light or thermostat to create a more pleasant environment that can truly lift a patient’s mood and well-being.

Outside of work, Marshall enjoys working with FORGE, melting down copper, aluminum bronze and silver to create metal figurines. One unique thing about him? He enjoys stacking silver!

This year’s March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards received more than 1,200 nominations from across Oklahoma — and we’re incredibly proud to announce that one of our own was selected as a finalist!

Please join us in congratulating Shawn Svob, RN, from INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital! Shawn has been part of our team for the past three years, serving in the intensive care unit, intermediate medical care unit and emergency department, and is a valued member of our vascular access team.

Before becoming a nurse, Shawn dedicated 22 years to the U.S. Army. He earned his associate's degree in nursing at OSU-OKC and will complete his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Oklahoma State University this December.

Shawn has been married to his wife for 23 years, and together they have two children, ages 20 and 18.

We’re proud to announce that INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital, in partnership with INTEGRIS Health Medical Group Pulmonology, is now offering the Ion robotic lung bronchoscopy system — a minimally invasive technology that allows physicians to biopsy lung nodules with greater accuracy and control.

This advanced system places INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital at the forefront of lung-health innovation, giving our local pulmonologists cutting-edge tools that support earlier detection, more precise diagnostics and improved patient outcomes. By bringing this technology close to home, we’re expanding access to lifesaving lung screening and detection for patients across northwest Oklahoma.

“The Ion system represents a significant step forward in our ability to diagnose lung nodules safely and accurately,” said Sarah Matousek, M.D. “Lung cancer is one of the deadliest cancers, largely because screening rates are low. INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Health Center is a non-profit, faith-based hospital in Enid serving residents in northwestern Oklahoma. We offer the finest medical professionals and health care services including acute care, women's services and state-of-the-art heart center.
