✨🐝 Local Spotlight: LUZ Medicine in Ephrata 🐝✨
The other day, I had the joy of meeting Dr. Danielle J Miller, owner of Luz Medicine in Ephrata — and wow. What a wonderful, down-to-earth, engaging, friendly, warm, kind woman! By the end of our meeting, I literally heard myself say, “Okay, I’m switching my primary care to you at LUZ!”
And I meant it. What she’s built there is remarkable — but honestly, it shouldn’t be so rare. Traditional doctors’ offices just aren’t designed with women in mind. Dr. Miller is on a mission to change that.
She said: “We’re normal doctors, but we’ll actually listen to you for longer than five minutes, work with you to really figure out what’s going on, and we won’t gaslight you.”
That’s the kind of care every woman deserves.
LUZ is also incredibly kid-friendly, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a home than a clinic. While you’re being seen, your little one can play happily on the soft rug with toys nearby — or Dr. Miller might gently examine them while they play, so they hardly even realize it’s happening.
This should be normal, right?!
About 80% of their patients are women in their 20s–40s, so LUZ has become a go-to in Lancaster County for women navigating changing hormones and seasons of life. And they truly see health as more than numbers — there’s even a qualified mental health therapist with an on-site office.

LUZ Medicine is hosting a Women’s Health & Wellness Expo at the Eden Resort in late November. Dr. Miller’s goal is to share more education and empowerment with women in Lancaster County, and several incredible speakers will be presenting.
I’ll be there, too! Come say hi — I’ll have a vendor table sharing about my work as a birth + postpartum doula, and soon as a massage therapist and craniosacral fascial therapist.
I’m genuinely inspired by Dr. Miller — her passion, drive, and commitment to giving women the queenly care we all deserve. I’m looking forward to building a deeper professional connection and supporting each other’s work as we serve women in this community.
There are so many amazing women-led businesses in Lancaster County doing powerful, heart-centered work. I feel so grateful to be learning about them, to elevate them, and to help more people discover the incredible resources available right here in our community. 💛
