Just a regular morning playing UNO! UNO and bingo are our top 2 favorite games to play. We have others to play like Go Fish, Old Maid, or Pokeno. Bingo is a favorite for another reason also...snack prizes! It's a great time to win a couple of snacks. Sometimes we have beauty products like soap, shampoo, and toothpaste as prizes also. We call that "Beauty Bingo."

Calling all world travelers or just the adventurous side! We took our monthly global trip today to Brazil! Where it's rude to say no to coffee and rude to be on time for gatherings! We delved into pizza and sour cream flavored savory snacks but hands down, the lime flavored, creamy center butter cookies, strawberry cheesecake flavored cookies, and a small chocolate cake stole the show! Gretchen shared her experiences trying a Brazilian Steakhouse which have gained popularity in the States! It's definitely worth trying and be prepared to bring an appetite!

We had our Valentine's Celebration today! Lots of sweet treats and talk of love! Gretchen read what love is out of the Bible, she then talked about different types of love and what we have here at The Groves, and our Love Languages. A guessing game, sweet bites to eat, and at the end Valentine's Day jokes...we didn't miss a beat...pun intended!

When there is downtime in the house, Diane is an avid puzzler! In about 2 to 3 days she can get a very large puzzle put together! Michele, our overnight gal, sits with Diane when she first comes in and works on the puzzle with Diane. We try to have that One to One time along with our group activities to reach our residents activity and social needs in different ways.

Who loves Chocolate?...we do! In celebration of Valentine's Day coming up, we had Donna Haase stop by the house and do a presentation on chocolate! We even tried cocoa nibs and Ruby chocolate which is not made in the States! To top it off, we also tried the very first chocolate bar made by Fry's. It actually had a cream inside of it and it was of course, delish! Taste buds will tickle for chocolate anytime!

So once a month, Gretchen takes everyone on a trip to a different country through snacks! Today we went to France. While learning some fun facts and trivia about the country and its culture, we tried Dijon mustard flavored potato chips, popcorn and cola flavored truffles, and butter cookies just to name few. Last month was Germany and next month is a surprise...we don't know where we are going yet!
