YAY! Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow! What a GLORIOUS day! If you are like most of us, you love to overindulge in all of the family recipes, chill on the couch and maybe play some games?! Try to eat smaller amounts of everything, stay hydrated and maybe think about taking a stroll in the neighborhood?! (or snow ski, depending on the weather forecast๐Ÿคฃ)๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŽฟ
Wellness is about moderation and keeping that healthy balance. Part of that journey is making sure to stay active as well keeping up with your chiropractic adjustments!

It's a busy time of year for our "FRIENDLY FALL" germs!
When kids go to school & daycare, they're exposed to a variety of germs and viruses from other children. While it might seem like a negative thing at first, these exposures actually help strengthen their immune systems in the long run. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿ™‹
Early exposure to pathogens:
Daycare/school environments tend to have a lot of shared toys, surfaces, and close interaction between children. This means kids are exposed to bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens at an early age. Their immune system learns how to recognize and fight these invaders.๐Ÿค’๐Ÿคฎ
Building immunity:

It's that wonderful time of the year again! ๐Ÿ
Raking leaves seems harmless, but it engages multiple muscle groups in the back, shoulders, and core. Often people are doing this for long periods of time without taking any breaks. The most common causes of back strain include:
REPETITIVE MOTION:
The same twisting and pulling movements affect the body fatigue muscles quickly.
IMPROPER MOTION:
Hunching or bending over at the waist places strain on spinal joints and discs.
OVERREACHING:
Extending the arms and twisting simultaneously stresses the lower back and neck.
HEAVY LOADS:
Wet leaves weigh more than you think. Lifting or dragging full bags can cause strain or injury.
COLD MUSCLES:
Starting yard work without warming up/ stretching out those muscles increases the risk of strains and spasms.
Even people in good shape can experience soreness or injury after hours of raking if their posture or movement is incorrect.
