of communication. After almost two decades as a speech therapist, I realized that most people are not fully aware of the way they communicate, nor others. I created the different styles to simplify the practice of identifying and adapting.

If your dominant "Click Style" is DIRECT, you most likely:
💬 Present information clearly & with structure
💬 Use straightforward questions
💬 Need others to match your brisk, efficient communication pace

The key to better communication

starts with awareness. Not only of your own way of communicating but recognizing the communication or "Click Styles" of others. Once you understand the different types, you can navigate how to respond to avoid conflict and focus on connection.

This is just a fraction of what I teach in my Social Intelligence course but it's so important. I'm starting a series going over each type and how you can determine which is your dominant style so make sure you follow along to learn more!

In fact, I’m asking you to be bold! Be seen. Be heard. Be the new hire who isn’t afraid to ask questions! Be the trainer who double checks if everyone understands. Be the boss who never stops expressing gratitude for their team’s hard work. And if the situation calls for it, be the person who responds instead of reacts!!

If there is one thing I know for sure after two decades as an SLP working with patients who struggle to communicate, it’s that we all have the ability to be better communicators. No matter how you came into this world or were raised, you absolutely can navigate the challenges. You just need the right tools ⚙️
