Recently some of our students had the opportunity to visit the Erie Art Museum, followed with cookies from Ye Ole Sweet Shoppe! It was a fun outing!

Our students rolled up their sleeves for owl pellet dissections and had a blast exploring what these amazing birds eat. Hands-on learning like this helps build critical thinking and a love for science! Check out some of the fascinating finds!

This morning one of our teachers shared a slideshow of veterans in CCDS families so we could recognize their service. It highlighted the many heroes connected to our school community, including one student who shared her great-grandfather’s dog tags.

We’re so thankful for all who have served and continue to serve our country.

🧩 Red Ribbon Week at CCDS! 🧩 This year’s theme is “Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free!”

Our students showed their school spirit all week long with themed dress-up days, from Twin Day to Sports Day, a Staff vs. Students Color War, and a fun Costume Day to finish the week! We are proud of our students for celebrating healthy choices and having fun while doing it!

We are excited to partner with Adagio Health this year to bring nutrition education to our students! Last week, they kicked things off with a delicious “Harvest of the Month” tasting during lunch- apples! 🍏 Students sampled different apple varieties and even tried pumpkin applesauce, complete with a recipe to take home!

Guess what?! EVERY student was here today at CCDS! To celebrate 100% attendance, we enjoyed Krispy Kreme donuts together! A huge shout out to the Erie Krispy Kreme for generously donating donuts to help us reward our students.
