AmeriSound Medical is hiring a Probe Evaluation & Repair Technician based in Frederick, Colorado. This position will be responsible for performing technical testing and repair of ultrasound probes/transducers. Performing basic level electro-mechanical repairs of probes, including re-lensing, case repair, cable jacket repair, and other repairs as directed. Receive, disinfect and clean incoming probes as well as package and ship probes back to customers. The Probe Evaluation & Repair Technician is a critical role within AmeriSound Medical and we are willing to extensively train the right person to be successful.

Repair/Evaluation Technician Job Duties:

Evaluate ultrasound probes on ultrasound systems for imaging quality.
Document the evaluation results, uploading all images to organization’s database.
Interpret “FirstCall” diagnostic reports for quality conformance and repair needs.
Perform a variety of repairs on ultrasound probes.
Receive, disinfect, and clean incoming probes.
Package and ship probes back to customers.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Aid in the training of other employees on new or existing procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

Ability to interpret ultrasound images and translate issues into operational direction and documentation.
Electro – Mechanical knowledge
Ability to work with our internal database system and software
Possess a high level of patience, attention to detail and adaptability
Works great in a teamwork environment
Possess the ability to identify quality issues and flaws…"doesn’t miss the little things"
High awareness for “sense of urgency”
Self-starter able to work independently without much oversight
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be able to work in timely and efficient manner to meet customer needs
Ability to prioritize work and effectively communicate timeline and work load.
Read, write and speak English fluently.

Education/Experience:

Technical degree and/or formal ultrasound training preferred.
Electronics degree or experience is a plus
2+ years working in a Quality Control and/or regulated environment preferred
Ultrasound experience preferred
