MY DARKNESS INTO LIGHT.

When you find yourself in darkness, or in others words,
when you find yourself surrounded by troubles, you can
always count on God to light a pathway through them. For THE LORD
IS GOOD, A REFUGE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE. HE CARES
FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM. ( NAHUM 1:7 )

King David wrote, THOUGH I WALK IN THE MIDST OF
TROUBLE, YOU PRESERVE MY LIFE; YOU STRETCH OUT
YOUR HAND AGAINST THE ANGER OF MY FOES; WITH
YOUR RIGHT HAND YOU SAVE ME. ( PSALM 138:7 )
For I LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE MOUNTAINS-WHERE DOES
MY HELP COME FROM? MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD,
THE MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! ( PSALM 121:1-2 )

Therefore if you are experiencing troubles or
worries in your life right now, CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM
BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU. ( 1 PETER 5:7 )
and it is through prayer that you may cast your troubles and
worries on Him!

For after all THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM,
TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM IN TRUTH. HE HEARS THEIR
CRY AND SAVES THEM. AMEN. ( PSALM 145:18-19 )

THE LORD LIVES! PRAISE BE TO MY ROCK! EXALTED BE
MY GOD, THE ROCK, MY SAVIOR!

God is indeed our "Rock" He is there with us in times
of trouble, for; GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, AN
EVER-PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE. ( PSALM 46:1 )
For; THE LORD IS GOOD, A REFUGE IN TIMES OF
TROUBLE. HE CARES FOR THOSE WHO TRUST IN
HIM. ( NAHUM 1:7 )

When we are fearful we can call on Him for; THIS IS WHAT
THE LORD SAYS--"FEAR NOT, FOR I HAVE REDEEMED
YOU; I HAVE SUMMONED YOU BY NAME; YOU ARE
MINE. WHEN YOU PASS THROUGH THE WATERS, I
WILL BE WITH YOU; AND WHEN YOU PASS THROUGH
THE RIVERS, THEY WILL NOT SWEEP OVER YOU.
WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE FIRE, YOU WILL NOT
BE BURNED; THE FLAMES WILL NOT SET YOU ABLAZE.
( ISAIAH 43:1-2 )

When we slip and sin we can still be forgiven for; THE LORD OUR
GOD IS MERCIFUL AND FORGIVING, EVEN THOUGH WE
HAVE REBELLED AGAINST HIM. ( DANIEL 9:9 )
FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD; HE
WILL NOT ABANDON OR DESTROY YOU OR FORGET
THE COVENANT WITH YOUR ANCESTORS, WHICH HE
CONFIRMED TO THEM BY OATH.
( DEUTERONOMY 4:31 )

So turn your cares over to Him and; TRUST IN THE LORD
FOREVER FOR THE LORD, THE LORD HIMSELF, IS
THE ROCK ETERNAL. Amen! ( ISAIAH 26:4 )

THOUGH THE MOUNTAINS BE SHAKEN AND THE HILLS
BE REMOVED, YET MY UNFAILING LOVE FOR YOU WILL
NOT BE SHAKEN NOR MY COVENANT OF PEACE BE
REMOVED," SAYS THE LORD, WHO HAS COMPASSION
ON YOU.
( ISAIAH 54:10 *NIV )

There is no way to measure the tremendous love and
compassion that God has for those who love Him for; THIS IS LOVE:
NOT THAT WE LOVED GOD, BUT HE LOVED US AND
SENT HIS SON AS AN ATONING SACRIFICE FOR OUR
SINS. ( 1 JOHN 4:10 ) Therefore; WE KNOW AND RELY ON
THE LOVE GOD HAS FOR US. GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER
LIVES IN LOVE LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM.
( 1 JOHN 4:16 )

Also through our faith we come to know peace as we
have never known it before, for it is written; THEREFORE, SINCE
WE HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH, WE
HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS
CHRIST. ( ROMANS 5:1 )

Therefore; LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE YOUR
HEARTS, SINCE AS MEMBERS OF ONE BODY YOU
WERE CALLED TO PEACE. AND BE THANKFUL.
( COLOSSIANS 3:15 )

So if you haven't already, give your heart to
God, for then; THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS
ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS
AND YOUR MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. Amen.

FOLLOW GOD�S EXAMPLE, THEREFORE, AS DEARLY LOVED
CHILDREN AND WALK IN THE WAY OF LOVE, JUST AS CHRIST
LOVED US AND GAVE HIMSELF UP FOR US A FRAGRANT
OFFERING AND SACRIFICE TO GOD.
( EPHESIANS 5:1-2 *NIV )

Just as children imitate their parents, we are to imitate
Christ! Because of HIS great love for us, HE became a
sacrifice for our sins so that we might have Eternal Life. THEREFORE,
I URGE YOU, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, IN VIEW OF
GOD'S MERCY, TO OFFER YOUR BODIES AS A LIVING
SACRIFICE, HOLY AND PLEASING TO GOD--THIS IS YOUR
TRUE AND PROPER WORSHIP. ( ROMANS 12:1 )

So if you are able, do not forget to go to Church,
and Worship your Heavenly Father! Also remember to let
your love light shine always, because TO THIS YOU WERE CALLED,
BECAUSE CHRIST SUFFERED FOR YOU, LEAVING YOU
AN EXAMPLE, THAT YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IN HIS STEPS.

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL
WORRY ABOUT ITSELF. EACH DAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE
OF ITS OWN.

I received the following humorous story from Lorraine, one
of our Sisters-in-Christ, and a memeber of the God's Minute
Family. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. It is Titled:


The Lady And The Basket

A funny story tells about an old lady who was living in the village.
She had never owned nor even been in a car before. One day, she
was returning home from the market carrying a big heavy basket on
her head, when a rich man riding his car passed by. Kindly, he
offered to drive the lady to her home. She thanked him and got into
the car with her basket.

On the way, the man glanced at the lady in the mirror, still
holding her basket over her head. Astonished, he asked her to lay
the basket down in the car and rest.

The old lady naively replied, "Oh my son, your car is carrying
me; this is enough, I should not burden it carrying my basket too!"

What an innocently funny response! We sometimes do the
same with God. Everyday, God carries us during the day. Still,
we insist on carrying our heavy baskets of worries and fear of
the future, for family, kids, spouse, money, job, etc...

We are carried by Almighty Hands, watched over by Sleepless
Eyes and God plans our future. Let us then relax and lay down
everything in God's Hands. The old lady, if she agreed to lay
down the basket, would have to carry it again when back home.
But the beautiful thing about God is that once we cast our heavy
basket in His Hands, we do not need to think about it anymore.

So do not worry, trust in our Heavenly Father instead, for "BLESSED IS
THE ONE WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS
IN HIM. THEY WILL BE LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY THE WATER
THAT SENDS OUT ITS ROOTS BY THE STREAM. IT DOES NOT
FEAR WHEN HEAT COMES; ITS LEAVES ARE ALWAYS GREEN.
IT HAS NO WORRIES IN A YEAR OF DROUGHT AND NEVER
FAILS TO BEAR FRUIT." ( JEREMIAH 17:7- 8 )

IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST
TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM
ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

A wonderful meaning of Rain

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main
streets in town, taking those extra precautions necessary when
the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my daughter Aspen, spoke up from her relaxed
position in her seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something." This
announcement usually meant she had been pondering some
fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that her
six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain!" she began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers
are like God wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond.
"That's really good, Aspen." Then my curiosity broke in. How far
would this little girl take this revelation? So I asked.. "Do you
notice how the rain keeps on coming?"

"What does that tell you?"

Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer: "We keep
on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.
After all, In order to see the rainbow, you must first endure
some rain. Amen.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN, FOR THEY WILL
BE COMFORTED.
( MATTHEW 5:4 *NIV )

When you lose someone that you love, take comfort in
knowing that they are now with God. For it is written that
when we die, THE DUST RETURNS TO THE GROUND IT
CAME FROM, AND THE SPIRIT RETURNS TO GOD
WHO GAVE IT. ( ECCLESIASTES 12:7 )

Therefore BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WE DO NOT
WANT YOU TO BE UNINFORMED ABOUT THOSE WHO
SLEEP IN DEATH, SO THAT YOU DO NOT GRIEVE LIKE
THE REST OF MANKIND, WHO HAVE NO HOPE. FOR WE
BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED AND ROSE AGAIN, AND SO
WE BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL BRING WITH JESUS
THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP IN HIM.
( 1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-14 )

THEREFORE WE ARE ALWAYS CONFIDENT AND
KNOW THAT AS LONG AS WE ARE AT HOME IN THE
BODY WE ARE AWAY FROM THE LORD. Thus WE ARE
CONFIDENT, I SAY, AND WOULD PREFER TO BE AWAY
FROM THE BODY AND AT HOME WITH THE LORD.
( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:6 & 8 )

So take comfort in knowing you will see them
again, for it isn't the end of them but only the beginning!
The beginning of a much better life where HE WILL WIPE EVERY
TEAR FROM THEIR EYES. THERE WILL BE NO MORE
DEATH' OR MOURNING OR CRYING OR PAIN, FOR THE
OLD ORDER OF THINGS HAS PASSED AWAY."
( REVELATION 21:4 ) AMEN.

THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. LOVE THE LORD YOUR
GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND
WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH. THESE COMMANDMENTS THAT I
GIVE YOU TODAY ARE TO BE ON YOUR HEARTS. IMPRESS
THEM ON YOUR CHILDREN. TALK ABOUT THEM WHEN YOU SIT
AT HOME AND WHEN YOU WALK ALONG THE ROAD, WHEN YOU
LIE DOWN AND WHEN YOU GET UP.
( DEUTERONOMY 6:4-7 * NIV )

We often fall into the trap of being so busy caught up in this
World of ours today. We even seem to forget that we are only on
this Earth for a short time. Now it is written, WHAT IS YOUR LIFE?
YOU ARE A MIST THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND
THEN VANISHES. ( JAMES 4:14 )

Therefore our Savior Jesus Christ warned us about this when
He said; WHAT GOOD IS IT FOR SOMEONE TO GAIN THE
WHOLE WORLD, AND YET LOSE OR FORFEIT THEIR VERY
SELF? ( LUKE 9:25 )

So always remember to keep God number one in
your heart, for after all Eternity is a very, very, long time indeed.

COME TO ME, ALL YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND BURDENED,
AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU
AND LEARN FROM ME, FOR I AM GENTLE AND HUMBLE
IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
FOR MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT.
( MATTHEW 11:28-30 *NIV )

As you already know, it is hard to find any rest with so
many trials, tribulations, conflicts, and burdens in our lives
today. However when we follow Jesus, He will provide us
with rest and make our burdens lighter. For THE LORD UPHOLDS ALL
WHO FALL AND LIFTS UP ALL WHO ARE BOWED DOWN.
( PSALM 145:14 )

So when you feel stressed; CAST YOUR CARES ON THE
LORD AND HE WILL SUSTAIN YOU; HE WILL NEVER LET
THE RIGHTEOUS BE SHAKEN. ( PSALM 55:22 )
After all GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, AN EVER-
PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE. ( PSALM 46:1 )

Also remember that; BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO PERSEVERES
UNDER TRIAL BECAUSE, HAVING STOOD THE TEST, THAT
PERSON WILL RECEIVE THE CROWN OF LIFE THAT THE
LORD HAS PROMISED TO THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.
( JAMES 1:12 )

Therefore; PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR
LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE FATHER OF COMPASSION AND
THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT, WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL
OUR TROUBLES, SO THAT WE CAN COMFORT THOSE IN
ANY TROUBLE WITH THE COMFORT WE OURSELVES
HAVE RECEIVED FROM GOD. Amen.
( 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 )

YOUR LIPS WITH SHOUTS OF JOY.
( JOB 8:21 *NIV )


LOST MAN

A man had been lost and walking in the desert for about five days. One hot
day, he comes to the home of a preacher. Tired and weak, he crawls up
to the house and collapses on the doorstep. The preacher takes him in and
nurses him back to health.

Feeling better, the man asks the preacher for directions to the nearest
town. The preacher tells him the directions, and offers to lend him his horse
to make it. The preacher says, "However, there is a special thing about this
horse. You have to say 'Thank God' to make it go and 'Amen' to make it
stop."

Anxious to get to town, the man says, "Sure, okay," and gets on the horse.
He says, "Thank God" and sure enough, the horse starts walking. A bit later
he says louder, "Thank God, Thank God," and the horse starts trotting.
Feeling really brave, the man says, "Thank God! Thank God! THANK GOD!"
and the horse is soon up to a full run!

About then he realizes he's heading for a huge cliff and yells, "Whoa!" But
the horse doesn't even slow! It's coming up REAL QUICK and he's doing
everything he can to make the horse stop. "Whoa, stop, hold on!" Finally he
remembers, "AMEN!!!"

The horse stops a mere two inches from the cliff's edge, almost throwing him
over its head. The man, panting and heart racing, wipes the sweat from his
face and leans back in the saddle. "Oh!" he said, gasping for air, "Thank God."

THEN PETER CAME TO HIM AND SAID, �LORD HOW OFTEN
SHALL MY BROTHER SIN AGAINST ME, AND I FORGIVE HIM?
UP TO SEVEN TIMES? JESUS SAID TO HIM, "I DO NOT SAY
TO YOU, UP TO SEVEN TIMES, BUT UP TO SEVENTY TIMES
SEVEN."
( MATTHEW 18:21-22 *NKJV )

The reason Peter asked Jesus this question, is because
the Rabbis' taught that one should only forgive another three
times. That was based on what was written in the Book of
AMOS, Verses 1:3,6,9,11,13 & 2:1,4,6.

Now Peter was being generous when asking Jesus about
seven times, however Our Savior answered seventy times
seven, meaning that we should never keep track of how many
times we forgive others.

Further Our Savior taught us that we must forgive others if
we are to receive forgiveness from God! For Jesus also stated "IF YOU
FORGIVE OTHER PEOPLE WHEN THEY SIN AGAINST YOU,
YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER WILL ALSO FORGIVE YOU. IF
YOU DO NOT FORGIVE OTHERS THEIR SINS, YOUR FATHER
WILL NOT FORGIVE YOUR SINS." ( MATTHEW 6:14-15 )

After all we are not to avenge or try to repay others for what
they have done. FOR WE KNOW HIM WHO SAID, �IT IS MINE
TO AVENGE; I WILL REPAY,� AND AGAIN, �THE LORD WILL
JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.� ( HEBREWS 10:30 )

Therefore BEAR WITH EACH OTHER AND FORGIVE
ONE ANOTHER IF ANY OF YOU HAS A GRIEVANCE AGAINST
SOMEONE. FORGIVE AS THE LORD FORGAVE YOU. Amen.
( COLOSSIANS 3:13 )

GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF PEACE,
AS IN ALL THE CHURCHES OF THE SAINTS.
( 1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 *NKJV )

When you find yourself confused always look to Jesus
Christ, FOR HE HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE! ( EPHESIANS 2:14 )
A loving caring peace that we become filled with on our
spiritual journey.

Now it is written; THE ONE WHO IS THROWING YOU INTO
CONFUSION, WHOEVER HE MAY BE, WILL PAY THE
PENALTY. ( GALATIANS 5:10 ) So when you feel
like 'JOB' did when he said; I HAVE NO PEACE, NO QUIETNESS;
I HAVE NO REST, BUT ONLY TURMOIL, you may
find peace and comfort from the Lord. For; THE LORD GIVES
STRENGTH TO HIS PEOPLE; THE LORD BLESSES HIS
PEOPLE WITH PEACE.
( JOB 3:26 ) & ( PSALM 29:11 )

Therefore it is my prayer that; THE PEACE OF GOD,
WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL
GUARD YOUR HEART AND YOUR MIND IN JESUS
CHRIST. Amen. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:7 )
