Celebrating Clinical Success : James Clark
Mr. James “Jim” Clark was a resident of Christian Care of Unicoi County who admitted to our Rehabilitation Center to participate in our inpatient program following a decline in function.
Mr. Clark's goal was to return home with improved stability and mobility to facilitate independence during the performance of daily tasks. Mr. Clark was able to participate in Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy services to improve independence, mobility, and stability during the performance of functional activities. Each session, Mr. Clark demonstrated improvements in strength and mobility in order to regain independence during activities of daily living. With dedication, resoluteness, and a great attitude towards each session, Mr. Clark performed transfers, walking, step negotiation, and balancing activities of which improved independence in preparation for going home.
With the completion of therapy, Mr. Clark exhibited thankfulness for his improved ability to do functional tasks such as increased walking distances, improved independence during transfers and functional tasks. He states that he had good experience with receiving therapy as well as with all his caretakers (nursing staff). He continues to describe his therapy sessions as very helpful contributing to his appreciation to his overall stay at Christian Care Center of Unicoi County.
As Mr. Clark returns home, we want to thank him for choosing Christian Care Center of Unicoi County for his Rehabilitation and we are proud of the progress you made!
