To accomplish its mission, Palomar Family Counseling Service, Inc. (PFCS) has structured activities in five main areas: 1) comprehensive mental health services for children & adolescents, 2) counseling services for youth, adults, couples, and families, 3) site-based outreach services through partnerships with North County schools and other community organizations, 4) prevention and education services, and 5) court ordered treatment service. The goals of PFCS are to:
- Improve the behavioral and emotional health of children, youth, adults and families by providing the highest standards of professional care;
- Enhance access to comprehensive and integrated health child and family services by providing resources for underserved communities;
- Provide more effective and convenient program delivery for children and their families by providing site-based services through community collaborations;
- Identify and help develop individual and family strengths by addressing emotional, behavioral, social, situational, cultural, environmental and developmental issues unique to each individual;
- Ensure safer and healthier communities by offering prevention and intervention programs for juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, and domestic violence.
- Reduce the demand for costly, intensive services by averting potential crises; and
- Provide all staff members with opportunities to learn, grow, and excel in a respectful, pleasant, empowering, and supportive working environment.
