🎨✨ Art Class Fun with Sponge Painting! ✨🎨

Our art class today was all about creativity, relaxation, and self-expression. Residents enjoyed a simple, fun, and low-mess sponge art activity designed especially for seniors, including those with limited mobility, vision challenges, or arthritis.

Using small sponge pieces to gently dab layers of color, everyone created beautiful textures and vibrant designs—no brushes required! This calming activity is easy to adapt for all skill levels and allows each artist to move at their own pace.

Art moments like these encourage creativity, reduce stress, and bring so much joy to our day. We love seeing every unique masterpiece come to life! 💙🖌️

🎶🌸 A Broadway Musical Dinner Party Inspired by The Sound of Music 🌸🎶

The hills were alive—and so was our dining room!

Residents at Vista Del Lago Memory Care enjoyed an enchanting evening inspired by the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein classic The Sound of Music. This special dinner party blended Austrian charm with theatrical flair, creating a truly memorable experience filled with music, laughter, and delicious fare.

Our dining room came alive as soundtracks like “Do-Re-Mi” and “My Favorite Things” were beautifully sung by our talented entertainer Jocelyn Santos, filling the space with joy and nostalgia.

What a huge success! The Vista Del Lago Residents and Families Christmas Dinner brought our community together for a heartwarming holiday celebration filled with delicious food, joyful laughter, and plenty of holiday cheer.

Seeing residents, families, and loved ones gathered together made the evening truly special. These moments of connection and togetherness are what the season is all about, and we’re so grateful to have shared them with our Vista Del Lago family. 💙

🎄🎶 The Holiday Season Is Officially Underway! 🎶🎄

Our campus at Vista Del Lago Memory Care was filled with joy and holiday spirit as the wonderful Pacific Belle Chorus stopped by to share a beautiful morning of Christmas caroling.

Their uplifting voices, classic carols, and festive energy truly warmed hearts and sparked the magic of the season. There’s nothing quite like live music to bring smiles, memories, and togetherness—especially during the holidays.

🎄✨ Holiday Magic on the Move! ✨🎄

Tonight, our residents at Vista Del Lago Memory Care bundled up, loaded the bus, and headed out for a festive adventure to see the beautiful Christmas lights on homes along Candy Cane Lane!

The glowing lights, cheerful decorations, and holiday music filled the evening with smiles, laughter, and moments of pure joy. For many, the twinkling displays brought back warm holiday memories and created new ones to cherish together.

There’s nothing like sharing the magic of the season—especially when it’s viewed through bus windows full of excitement and wonder. ❤️🎅

🐾 Love On A Leash Brings Smiles to Vista del Lago! ❤️

Today’s Love On A Leash Pet Therapy Visit filled our community with joy, comfort, and countless wagging tails! Certified therapy dogs and their wonderful handlers spent time with our residents and visitors, offering gentle companionship, stress relief, and pure, tail-wagging happiness.

Everyone enjoyed petting, cuddling, and connecting with the dogs while learning about all the amazing benefits of therapy pets — from emotional support and reduced anxiety to an overall sense of calm and well-being. The room truly felt brighter, warmer, and full of love. 🐶✨

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated volunteers from Love On A Leash for sharing their time, their pets, and their kindness. Your visits make a meaningful difference and bring so much joy to our Vista del Lago family! 💛

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Today we gathered around a cozy, autumn-inspired table filled with all the classics — golden roasted turkey, savory stuffing, creamy mashed potatoes, tangy cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and so many comforting seasonal favorites.

But the best part wasn’t the feast…it was the laughter, the conversations, the stories, and the simple joy of being together. ❤️
Grateful for family, friendship, and the blessings this year has brought.

This week, Del Dios Academy students welcomed the fall season with a hands-on Thanksgiving craft activity alongside VDL residents: Pine Cone Turkeys! Using pine cones, colorful feathers, googly eyes, and plenty of imagination, students created unique turkey decorations to celebrate gratitude and creativity.

Teachers guided students through each step, but the true highlight was watching residents and students express their personalities through their creations—some turkeys were bright and feathery, others goofy and expressive, and a few even sported tiny handmade accessories.

As they crafted, students and residents also shared what they’re thankful for this year, filling the room with warmth, laughter, and appreciation. Activities like this help build community, foster creativity, and celebrate the joy of learning together.

Today we enjoyed a wonderful Pet Therapy visit with Duke and Dazee. Their calm, friendly presence brought smiles and comfort to everyone they met. Participants were able to pet, interact, and relax with the dogs, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere. Duke and Dazee’s visit provided emotional support, reduced stress, and added a joyful highlight to the day.

✨ Follow the Yellow Brick Road! ✨

Residents and families were invited to step into the magical world of Oz for a Wizard of Oz–themed dinner! 🌈💫

It was an enchanting evening filled with delicious food, laughter, and friendship. In a land not so far away—where dreams come true and adventure awaits—guests joined us for a dinner party straight out of the wonderful world of Oz!

Everyone was encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Oz character—whether it was the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, or even the Wicked Witch of the West. 💚

The night was full of whimsical dishes, joyful conversation, and a few magical surprises along the way.

There’s truly no place like home when it comes to celebrating together! ❤️👠

On Veterans Day we gathered to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation in uniform. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication safeguard the freedoms we cherish every day.

At Vista del Lago Memory Care, we proudly recognized each of our resident Veterans with a Veteran’s Recognition Pin, a heartfelt handshake, and a certificate or small token of appreciation to thank them for their service.
