I’m joined by Caitlin Fahey, founder of The Good Muck, for a conversation about nervous system regulation, deep rest, and why nothing about you needs fixing.

We talk about how survival patterns form, why rest is the foundation for real change, and what it means to unlearn what society, family, and productivity culture taught us about who we’re supposed to be.

This episode is about tending to your inner world with curiosity instead of force, and learning how to move through the messy parts without bypassing them.

Thank you, Caitlin, for this grounded and honest conversation.

What do you do when you start to feel the muck?

You’ve probably heard the phrase “the body keeps the score.”

It’s true, our bodies remember what our minds try to move past. Overwhelm, stress, grief… even if you don’t consciously think about them, your body often carries the imprint through tension, fatigue, or numbness.

My somatic sessions are conversational, and we slowly include the body in that dialogue. Rather than hyper-fixating on pain (what's wrong), I help you notice what’s here now: a deep breath, a softening in your chest, the way your shoulders drop when you feel understood.

These moments matter. They’re how your nervous system begins to recalibrate. Learning to recognize what feels pleasant, grounded, or easeful isn’t about chasing comfort; it’s about building your ability to feel safe, connected, and present in your body again.

That isn’t a side piece of the work; it’s one of the main pillars. Reconnecting with what feels good, true, and alive is how healing takes root and how we begin to experience life differently from the inside out.

We engage with the patterns that keep you stuck, and help you recognize what you need and what you truly want.

A somatic session with me is a guided conversation that includes your body in the process.

We talk about what’s been happening, the challenges, the changes, and also what’s been feeling good or nourishing.

As we explore, I’ll invite you to notice how your body responds, the small cues, sensations, or shifts that show how your system is taking it all in.

We don’t try to fix or avoid anything. Instead, we make space for the full range of experience, the effort and the ease, the tension and the settling, so your body has the chance to integrate what it’s been holding.

This way of working helps you reconnect with a deeper sense of inner knowing. Over time, you start to recognize not just when something feels too much, but also when something feels right, what supports your aliveness, your boundaries, and what you truly want more of in your life.

Most of us notice our bodies when something hurts, tightens, or feels stressful, but sometimes we forget the cues that feel good or bring ease.

This gentle women’s somatic circle is an evening to slow down, move softly, and reconnect with your body in simple, everyday ways. Through grounding practices and shared presence, you’ll practice noticing comfort, calm, and ease, not just tension or triggers, without pressure or performance.
