Dr. George Delgado was awarded The Evangelium Vitae Award at The 90th Annual Conference of the Catholic Medical Association in Orlando, Florida for his work with Abortion Pill Reversal. To date, over 2500 babies have been saved for women who wanted a second chance at choice.

Dear Steno Institute Supporter,
As this very challenging and peculiar year draws to a close, I want to wish you a very blessed and merry Christmas. I also ask God to give all of us health, recovery and a return to normalcy in 2021.
I greatly appreciate your support of our efforts to promote and advance abortion pill reversal (APR), which gives women who have started medical abortions with mifepristone (RU-486) a second chance at choice. Here are some of our projects and plans.
*We are continuing to raise funds for a large randomized controlled trial that will help solidify APR as a trustworthy, safe and effective option for women who change their minds after starting medical abortions. This study will be critical to increasing the acceptance of APR in the hearts of women and in the minds of medical doctors. Furthermore, states will need more evidence to support the laws they are passing that require abortion clinics to inform women that APR is available.
*We are collaborating with Dr. Stephen Sammut, a researcher at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He has developed a rat model of medical abortion and has submitted a grant request to us to fund studies that will test how we can improve APR as well as how to reverse other abortifacients, besides mifepristone, that are sometimes used in women. What we learn in the rat model can be used to improve APR in humans.
*We would like to embark on a campaign of increasing awareness of APR initially utilizing Catholic media. The more people know about our great work and that APR exists, the more they will recommend it to someone in crisis and the more they will support our efforts.

As you can see, the COVID-19 pandemic has not stifled our ambition to further the APR mission. However, it has curtailed our fundraising. We had to cancel plans for small fundraising dinners in St. Louis, Phoenix and Sacramento due to the pandemic and its associated restrictions of public gatherings.
