What a ✨🌟💫 review:

Maple Ridge has been wonderful for her. She has a larger apartment, more residents to socialize with and the staff is outstanding. She continues to decline (as expected) but I am grateful I can be with her almost daily, take her out for her pedicures and lunch and bring her to my home Saturday nights for a steak dinner! She actually doesn't socialize that much with other residents (she has always been an introvert) BUT when she is "out and about" she is happy to say hello and the staff ALWAYS makes a point to say hello to Joey and stop to chat with her.

I wanted to let you know how amazing the staff at MRL is- and to please pass it along! I am a physical therapist- and have worked at many facilities in different states- and this is by far one of the best!!

We are sure you know our executive director, Heather. Did you also know she has her own art studio and practices with different mediums? Her favorite artist is James Christensen. It’s no surprise that she offers to host monthly craft tutorials with our residents. What a unique way of getting to know each other at Maple Ridge.

Meet Noah Keogh! Our Director of community relations hosted one of many gatherings-he explained to residents that he is an avid basketball player, turned coach for a local high school team. He’s the proud father to ferrets! He asked residents what kind of pets they have had in the past. What about you? What’s a great memory of your pet?

Stay safe and warm today! This winter blanket is a reminder of how beautiful our state is. We’ve noticed a few family members bringing in Darn Tough Vermont socks for our residents❄️. Grateful because as a community we all know their loved ones are safe amidst our biggest storm of the year.

When the days get colder we tend to find ourselves cozying up next to the fireplaces throughout the community. When you are an adult child/caregiver knowing that your parent is safe, cared for and respected you can finally take the space for yourself. We can support your return to being the daughter rather than caregiver.

Happy Halloween! We were all smiles today as staff paraded around in costume and candy was passed out. Our recent bus ride around Essex Junction to look at Halloween lights certainly helped get us in the spirit!

In the days leading up to Halloween, each department was given a pumpkin to decorate and boy, did they show up with their best work! Community members cast their votes and our winner was the scarecrow pumpkin submitted by our Admin/Concierge team.
