I've been thinking a lot about community recently. Right now, I'm sitting with a couple of friends/business colleagues doing a "work party". We started by stating our goals for this session, and we are each quietly working on our tasks.

Where is the value? Why didn't we just stay home and do it on our own? We could have saved the time and gas it required to meet at a predetermined place, right?

Yes, true.

AND we would have missed out on the collective energy we bring to the table. Each of us working to achieve goals we have set for ourselves, but in doing the work TOGETHER--there is MAGIC in that.

And who couldn't use a little magic in their lives?

Wishing you magic and community on this February day ❤️⚡️

On the stroke of midnight tonight, you can resolve to be better, if you like…
to be fitter,
to eat cleaner,
to work harder.

On the stroke of midnight tonight,
you can resolve to become a whole new you,
if you so choose.

Or, you can take a moment to acknowledge, all you already are.
Because it’s a lot.
You’re a lot.

And you deserve to be commended.

On the stroke of midnight tonight, perhaps you could congratulate yourself, for coping.
For breaking, again,
and for rebuilding, again.

For catching the stones life has thrown at you,
and using them to build your castle that little bit stronger.

You have endured, my friend.

And I don’t see the need to resolve to become a whole new you,
when you are already so very much indeed.

Here's the new office! Just finished up my second week of seeing patients in this warm, lovely, quiet space, and I just LOVE it!

Still putting on some finishing touches--waiting for the blinds, pondering which plants will best survive my neglect.

Excited that my family is represented in the office in different ways: Casey provided the art in the entry way, Kevin helped hang things (level!) and neaten up, and Mom provided the Sun & Moon plaque in the waiting area.

For the past 18 months, I've been lucky enough to house my treatment room at Essex Physical Therapy. The therapists and staff welcomed me and helped my practice grow a lot faster than I thought was possible, and I have so much gratitude for my time there! The picture below shows my office at Essex PT.

Starting on Tuesday, April 5, I will be seeing patients in my new space! I am located in the same building at 21 Carmichael Street in Essex Junction, just moved upstairs to Suite 206. Check back in next week and I'll upload some pictures of the new office.

In the meantime, if you've been thinking about coming in for acupuncture, now is a great time! Help me break in the new space and learn how acupuncture can become an integral part of your self-care and healing.
