Once a year we all get together to celebrate the holiday season and all we have accomplished in the past year. We don't very often get to be together in the same place, even when we're working, so this is a nice way to celebrate the holiday.
We wouldn't be able to do it without our clients, who we value and appreciate beyond measure.

Here we are. We are the originals. Maureen, Jess, & Mary. Mary and I started this business together and our friend Jess, joined us shortly after. I had never met her; I had only heard of her, and when I met her in person, I just knew I was going to have a friend for life. Jess came to work with us as an amazing massage therapist and intuitive energy worker. She is more gifted than she will admit. Her abilities to help people heal are amazing. She is a bright light with the most beautiful smile and the kindest heart. She is a part of our collective here and we are so grateful to have her. This photo was taken on Saturday, which was Jess's last day with us. She is moving with her family to another state where only fantastic things are going to happen for her. In order for that to happen, she has to leave us. Our hearts are broken, but we know that she is only a phone call/text/FaceTime away. We will absolutely miss her hugs and we will miss working with her, and she will forever be our friend. We are so grateful to have been blessed with her working with us and being in our lives. Something some of you might not know about our friend: Jess also makes the most incredibly beautiful jewelry. I've never seen anything like it, and I can tell you that if you're looking for a fantastic gift for someone you love, visit because you won't be sorry. I have bought several of her necklaces and had them custom-made and they are incredibly reasonable and each one is handcrafted by Jess and she has an incredible talent. We love you Jess; we love your family, and we will be here no matter what. We wish you Godspeed on your trip to your new destination. We will miss you and we support you, ALWAYS. Thank you for your gifts of friendship, creativity and healing. We wish you joy. 🩷🩷🩷

I was so honored to be able to serve my country in an amazing capacity doing search and rescue and law-enforcement in the Coast Guard. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Here's why I posted what I posted yesterday about using the word "Masseuse" and other sexual connotations regarding massage.

There are websites out there, and most of them have the wrong information on them, listing places where you can go to get a "Happy ending." People with bad intentions add massage therapy business names to this website where people can go to find illegal Massage.
While some people might find this funny, please imagine if your name got put on here falsely, and you are a woman getting ready to give a massage to a man in a dark room who expects you to do things that are not legal. It's dangerous and not funny.
Every time you go into a dark room with a massage therapist, you have to have a level of trust and the massage therapist also has to have that as well. I am fortunate enough in my business to feel very comfortable with my clients, but I have been in a situation twice in my career where people have acted inappropriately and I have been lucky enough to be able to get out of that situation. We have a plan in place in my practice if anyone is in danger.
I trained to be a massage therapist in the Seattle area where they have a governing massage board and people who are very serious about making massage non-sexual. This is not a joke to me, or the women that I work with, and we ask that you please support safety in the rooms at all times. Someone's life depends may depend on it.
