JASON LYNN "BIRD" ASHLEY, age 43, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Ashley was born in Wi******er, Tenn., on October 20, 1972 to Julian and Sheila Syler Ashley. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Ashley was disabled due to an injury several years ago.

He is survived by his parents; Julian and Sheila Ashley of Belvidere, brother, Jeff Ashley and wife, Lori of Wi******er, sister, Julia Perkins and husband, Clayton also of Belvidere, nephews; Cole Ashley and Robert Perkins, nieces; Katie Ashley and Jacey Perkins.

Services for Mr. Ashley will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Rick Roberts, officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday.

Interment will follow in the Keith Springs Cemetery in Belvidere.

WILLIAM JOHN "BILL" ARGO, age 80, of Decherd, Tenn. departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Argo was born in Coalmont, Tenn., to the late Dewey Dalston and Sally Ann Nunley Argo on August 21, 1935. Mr. Argo was employed as a Machinist for approximately thirty years and retired from Aertool Service in Ohio. He was then employed for several years at Enco in Cleveland, Ohio. His hobbies were playing the guitar and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed music.

GEORGE STEPHEN "STEVE" ROBERTS, age 64, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, July 24, at Life Care Center in Tullahoma following an extended illness. Mr. Roberts was born in Wi******er, Tenn. on April 29 1952, to the late Martin and Elma Hinshaw Roberts. He was a graduate of Huntland High School. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Estill Springs. He was employed as a superintendent for over thirty years for Long Foundation Drilling. He loved the outdoors. Mr. Roberts hobbies were collecting rocks, and going to Flea Markets. He was a loving and wonderful, husband, father, grandfather, and cousin.

RUSSEL DAVID DODSON, age 78, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Dodson was born in Huntland, Tenn. to the late, George and Mattie David Dodson on June 9, 1938. He was a member of the Free Spirit Independent Baptist Church. Mr. Dodson was a U.S. Army veteran. His hobbies were fishing and playing the guitar. He was a loving father, and grandfather.

NAOMI NELL SISSOM, age 78, of Tullahoma, Tenn., formerly of Franklin County, departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Tennova Harton of Tullahoma. Ms. Sissom was born on March 8, 1938 in Decherd, Tenn. to the late Marcus Caroll Tant and Minnie Bridges Tant. She was a factory worker and homemaker. Ms. Sissom was a devoted member of the Christian Lighthouse Church in Tullahoma.

CHARLES THOMAS TAYLOR, age 85, of Wi******er, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Southern Tenn. Regional Health System Wi******er, Skilled Care following an extended illness. Mr. Taylor was born on March 23, 1932, in Fayetteville, Tenn., to the late Albert Charles Taylor and Dora Taylor. Mr. Taylor is a member of the Maxwell Baptist Church. He and Mrs. Taylor moved from Franklin County to Illinois soon after their marriage. They returned several years later and Mr. Taylor was employed as the Police Chief for the City of Huntland for 10 years. He was then offered the job of Criminal Investigator for Wi******er. He accepted the job and was Wi******er's first Criminal Investigator, a job that spanned 22 years before his retirement. He was a member of the FOP for over 30 years. His favorite hobbies were fishing and working in his yard.

DOROTHY JEAN CLARK, age 85, of Wi******er, Tenn. departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2016, at The Bridge at Monteagle following an extended illness.

Ms. Clark was born in Maxwell, Tenn. on March 31, 1931 to the late Robert Jacks and Rena Myers Jacks. She was a homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Clark resided in Huntsville, Alabama for many years before moving to Franklin County. When she and Mr. Clark resided in Huntsville, they enjoyed attending the Mayfair Church of Christ.

SAMUEL PAUL HOWARD, age 73 of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, June 20, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Mr. Howard was born in Shelbyville, Tenn, on April 9, 1943, to the late EC Howard and Lena Cyree Howard. He was a retired Baptist Minister. He also was a Mechanic for the City of Tullahoma, Bedford County schools and a school bus driver for Metro Moore County. He was married on June 23, 1969 to Mary Jane Gazaway, his wife of almost 47 years. Mr. Howard known by many as Bro. Paul was a God fearing, Christian man serving the Lord in the ministry for many years and even talked of preaching this Sunday. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

JAY EDWARD PRALL, age 69, of Wi******er, Tenn., departed this life suddenly, on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Southern Tenn. Regional Health Systems Wi******er. Mr. Prall was born in Los Angeles, California on March 22, 1947, to the late Caleb and Wyone Rogers Prall. Mr. Prall was raised in Auburn, Washington where his family resided when he was young. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's degree. Mr. Prall was employed for over twenty-five years as a Public Relation Specialists for a Non-profit organization. He is a member of the Decherd Seventh Day Adventist Church, he was committed to the renovations being made to the Church Building.

RONALD ALBERT DAWBARN, age 52, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Dawbarn was born on August 23, 1963, in Independence, Missouri, to Mr. Ronald Dawbarn and Joyce Smart Dawbarn. Before Mr. Dawbarn became disabled, he was employed for over twenty years at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, as an Engineer. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Manchester. Mr. Dawbarn's favorite hobby was fishing.

NADINE L. WALKER, age 91, of Wi******er, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Southern Manor Assisted Living Center in Wi******er, Tenn., following an extended illness. Ms. Walker was born on January 20, 1925, in Dalton, Georgia to the late George Lee and Isabella Padgett Parker. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. When she was younger, Ms. Walker enjoyed gardening, cooking, and taking care of her flowers. One of her favorite things to do was shop. She also enjoyed decorating the houses that she and Mr. Walker built and lived in over the many years they were together.
