So excited to share another new addition to the Grow family!

Meet Anna:
“My name is Anna and I recently relocated from Minnesota. I earned my Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Science at UWEC and my Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica. I was drawn to the pediatric OT field because I love supporting functional, meaningful, and playful engagement in life! My favorite occupations include spending time in nature, sailing, skiing, reading, knitting, and making jewelry. I can’t wait to grow with you all!”

Meet Bethannie:

“Hello, my name is Bethannie! I am originally from New York and live most of my life on the East Coast. My favorite occupation is definitely playing games and eating new types of food! I love OT because it’s so rewarding to help others in a fun and empowering way!”

Meet Emily! Another U of O student interested in OT. Here’s what she had to say about her journey:

“Hi, I’m Emily!

I’m currently a student in my final term at the University of Oregon, where I’m completing a double major in Family and Human Services and Psychology. Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors, listening to music, cooking, creating art, going to the gym, and thrifting.

I’ve always known I wanted to be a therapist and support youth in meaningful ways. That passion led me to discover the field of occupational therapy. Through the Direct Service Intensive program at UO, I was connected with Grow Pediatric Therapy, where I’ve had the incredible opportunity to intern for the past five weeks.

My time at Grow has been truly transformative. I’ve learned so much about building strong relationships, supporting developmental growth, and making learning fun and engaging. The warm, supportive environment and dedicated staff have deeply inspired me, and I’m so grateful to be part of this amazing team.“

We feel so lucky to have you as part of our team, Emily! Seeing you over the last few weeks has been a delight!

Meet Noelle, another future OT!

“Hi! I’m Noelle. Some of my favorite things to do include singing, songwriting, playing guitar, thrifting, and finding new restaurants. I’m currently finishing my final term as a Family and Human Services major at the University of Oregon.
I was first introduced to occupational therapy through a family friend and instantly fell in love with the field. That experience led me to Grow, where I’ve spent the past fifteen weeks learning more than I ever imagined possible. During my time here, I’ve gained invaluable hands-on experience, formed meaningful friendships, and truly had so much fun.
After graduation, I’ll be continuing my journey by pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at George Fox University. My time at Grow has deepened my passion for OT, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences and support I’ve received here.”

In honor of OT month, we thought we’d introduce some of the students we work closely with at Grow. Many of which who hope to become future OTs! Here’s a hello from Katherine:

“Hi! I’m Katherine! Some of my favorite things to do are travel, ski, hike, run, thrift, any kind of art, and lay in the sun!! I am currently completing my last term at the University of Oregon where I am majoring in human physiology. Next, I hope to go to graduate school to become an occupational therapist. I love the creativity, collaboration, movement, and connection this job requires. My first exposure to OT was through a family member, then through working at a therapy group, and now at Grow! Working as an OT really excites me as my interest and passion for this field only continues to grow!”
