For 35 years, Eugene Emergency Physicians have staffed the ER at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart RiverBend. They are local doctors who have built relationships here, trained here, and cared for our families here.

Now that contract is being replaced by ApolloMD, a national staffing corporation.
When control of medical care shifts away from local physicians to large corporate entities, communities can lose continuity, accountability, and long-standing relationships. We have seen firsthand how corporate consolidation can disrupt care and drive physicians away.

Clear Health DPC stands with independent physicians in our community — including Eugene Emergency Physicians. Local medicine matters. Physician leadership matters. Community accountability matters.

Today marks the first-ever National DPC Day — and it just so happens to fall in the same week as Clear Health’s 2-year anniversary! 🥳

In just two short years, we’ve grown from a small team of 1 doctor and 1 medical assistant to a thriving practice with 3 clinicians and 4 amazing support team members. 💙

These past few months have felt pretty uncertain, and now health care costs are set to climb even higher. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to go without care.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a growing option that keeps the focus where it belongs—on the relationship between you and your doctor. For patients, it means affordable, relationship-centered primary care. For employers, it’s a way to provide attentive, preventive care at a lower overall cost.

Pairing DPC with a simple catastrophic insurance plan can actually save enough money to cover the membership fees. It also supports local independent medical practices and saves everyone—patients, employers, and clinics—time, money, and stress.

🚨 Oregon Just Made History for Healthcare! 🚨

We’re thrilled to share that SB 951 has passed, protecting the integrity of patient care in Oregon — and Clear Health Direct Primary Care was proud to stand at the forefront of this fight. 💪

This groundbreaking law bans corporate control over medical decision-making. No more shadow ownership of clinics by out-of-state private equity firms. No more silencing doctors with noncompetes, nondisclosures, or gag orders.

🩺 What does this mean?

Doctors stay in charge of medical care.

Management companies can no longer dictate how physicians practice.

Physicians are free to speak out without fear of retaliation.

Patients get care decisions based on health, not profit.

At Clear Health Direct Primary Care, we believe that healthcare is a human right. 🏥✊ Last week, our team stood in solidarity at two powerful protests — one against the inhumane detention of migrants denied due process, and another at the No Kings protest, demanding accountability and justice.

We proudly raised our voices (and our signs!) to protect Medicaid, Medicare, and to keep healthcare spaces safe from fear and raids. Because access, equity, and dignity in medicine matter — for everyone. 💙
