Hello and Happy Autumn, H&B Community!
As some of you may already know… we are moving!
On October 1st, H&B Bodyworks will be relocating and will be closed from September 28th to October 10th. We will officially reopen on October 11th and resume seeing clients at our new studio located at 132 E Broadway St., Suite 303.
Though our hearts are heavy in leaving the blue house where we first began in 2022, there are many factors contributing to this decision. The largest of these being that in the current economy, running a self-standing studio is costly. This move will cut costs and ensure that H&B Bodyworks can stick around to continue providing care for many years to come.
In addition to this, there are so many new possibilities to be excited about! Our new office will be ADA compliant, allowing us to better serve those with mobility impairments. The Miner Building hosts a phenomenal community that includes numerous other LGBTQ+-friendly businesses and practitioners. It also boasts a rich history- this year, the building celebrates its 100-year anniversary! Construction on the building began in 1923 and opened for its first tenants in 1925. In 2016, it underwent a 2.4-million-dollar restoration, allowing its legacy to continue with plenty of modern comforts. If you’re a history buff and would like to learn more about our new home, check out History — The Miner Building!
H&B Bodyworks will inevitably be undertaking some operational changes to make this possible as we move into the future. We will be moving to a “By Appointment Only” business model. This means that our studio location will only be open when we have pre-scheduled appointments. On slow days, H&B staff may work remotely and therefore be unavailable when you call. In these cases, please leave us a message and we will get back to you within 24 hours to schedule sessions or answer any questions. You are also welcome to email us with any questions or concerns to hbbodyworks@gmail.com
Online booking will still be available, but our scheduling availability is changing. Heidi will be seeing H&B Bodyworks clients on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Caleb will be seeing clients Thursday-Sunday. Moving forward, Sundays are reserved for established clients and will not be available online, so please call to schedule.
Clients have two options for parking at the new studio. There are 2-hour meters on Broadway and on Pearl Street, or the Overpark Garage on 10th & Oak, which is just around the corner. If you take public transit, the Miner Building is a very short walk from the downtown transit station.
We want to thank all of you for your patience with us during this transitional time. We’re looking forward to this next evolution of H&B Bodyworks and hope you join us for the adventure!
