Happy Birthday to my first half daughter! Loving you since 2001 has always been easy for me. So many memories of hugging you, holding you, laughing with you, traveling with you, singing & dancing with you.... From heart aches to proud moments our lives have weaved together. Now watching you love & mother your little girls has been a phenomenal experience. You'll always be my family. Thank you for having me as one of your other mamas. I love you Zoey - here's to 25!!!!

Made this for my little assistant which I gifted her today. It was fitting because I then realized it was her dad's birthday! These are so much fun to make. Supplies: canvas, dictionary pages, buttons, charms, beads, thread, stickers, fabric, tape, wire, jewelry, confetti.

This morning before I went to work~ I carved out time to lay on the ground while my dogs ran around. This beautiful tree I planted years ago stood so bright. I imagined being small enough to climb her branches, jump in her leaves and look up at the sky. I see her shelter the little insects, this piece of heaven in my backyard and for that moment I felt some peace. I put away the terror of the images of the week, the pain and tears of our lives, and the hollering and cussing from the streets at work. I just was. And for that, I am grateful.

This Duo has kept our pack together as we've say goodbye to some of our favorites Zen & Loki. They are healthy & strong and always up to chasing squirrels, scaring the delivery people and clearing counters for kicks.
