The Pearl Day Spa was founded in 2001 by long-time Eugene resident Susan Zahn. Having spent her childhood summers in Hot Springs, Montana, Susan had a natural affinity and appreciation for the healing power of the massages, mud baths, and other therapies offered there. Passing the torch from bodyworker to bodyworker, Sean Vierra and his exceedingly skilled staff continue to offer the same hydro-based therapies on which The Pearl Day Spa was founded. More than a spa, we are committed to the health and overall well-being of everyone that steps through our door. Whether relaxing in our serene garden in the warmer months or retreating indoors to the comfort of our lounge, we are certain you will find a place here with us.

Our Valentine’s Day appointments have been released and are now available for booking.
This year, we’re doing things a bit different. All appointments booked February 13th-15th will include our special Valentine’s Day touches at no extra charge.
Each appointment includes thoughtful extras and finishes with a dark chocolate macaron. We will also be featuring blood orange passion fruit (courtesy of Portland Syrups) mimosas all weekend, in addition to other NA options).

While we work with a number of non-profits and organizations, there are a few with which we work very regularly:
Oregon Supported Living Program (OSLP): The mission at Oregon Supported Living Program is to enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by providing person-centered residential, vocational and supported living programs with emphasis on the arts and community integration. We employ an OSLP-supported individual and display gallery work in the spa from the OSLP's Arts & Culture Program.
Young Mountain Tea: We help to support the work of Young Mountain Tea through education and various tea events. We also offer their tea for our clients every day in our lounge and retail their boxed teas to enjoy at home. The philosophy underlying their work is a simple one: the best teas grow out of the best practices. As such, they are a tea company and yet they see our work as part of something much larger. Every cup of tea we drink supports one system or another, ecologically and socially.
Ophelia's Place: At Ophelia’s Place they believe in girls’ strengths and encourage them to discover and nurture their gifts as they become young women. The goal of their work is to empower young women to make healthy, informed decisions about their many important life choices. By the simplest definition, they are a “community for girls.” Their vision is that all girls are safe, valued and empowered. We help organize and participate in a large annual event, The Eugene Pearl District Block Party, which is both an awareness building and fundraiser for the organization.
Avani: The name “Avani” comes from the Hindi word for Earth. Avani creates opportunities for rural women and men to find viable employment through a self-sufficient and environmentally sustainable supply chain. Every business decision related to Avani products is guided by a strong responsibility toward environmental best practices and sensitivity to the cultural context of the villages where they work. We are one of the few West Coast partners of Avani. We have personally visited their properties in India and retail their textiles in the spa.
